Comiple fails for Xen 2.0.2
Changes in xen/arch/x86/domain.c in 2.0.2 break comiple for me with: ld --oformat elf32-i386 -T x86_32/xen.lds -N \ boot/x86_32.o /home/root/xen-2.0/xen/common/common.o /home/root/xen-2.0/xen/drivers/char/driver.o /home/root/xen-2.0/xen/drivers/acpi/driver.o /home/root/xen-2.0/xen/drivers/pci/driver.o /home/root/xen-2.0/xen/arch/x86/arch.o -o /home/root/xen-2.0/xen/xen-syms

xen 2.0/2.0.1 reboots silently on via C3-cpu
On my lex mainboard with a Via C3 cpu, xen 2.0(.1) reboots (nearly) immediately without any outputs. The same setup/version boots without problems on a via epia M board with a Via C3-2 cpu (Nehemia), having a rather different chipset. Starting with option noreboot, nobiostables doesn''t change anything visible. Is this a known problem? Or just a knowingly unsupported chipset? Have you

some win machines see samba, some not.
Hello, I have this big problem which bothers me for past week(s). I have setup a simple samba network on win95 only net and it worked fine. This time I try to setup a samba on a network having win98 WinNT 4.0 sp4 and WinNT4.0 WS SP 5. I believe all machines are on the same local net. I have tried both samba 2.0.5a (RH6.1 default) as well as samba 2.0.7. I can use 'smbclient'

xen and pci
hello, I''m running XEN 2.0 on IBM ThinkPad T23. Now the weird thing is that I get two different outputs from /sbin/lspci depending on whether I run 2.6.8.1-xen0 or 2.6.8.1-bproc. In particular the output from 2.6.8.1-xen0 seems to be missing those 4 lines 0000:00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82830 830 Chipset AGP Bridge (rev 02) 0000:00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82801BAM/CAM PCI

Xen 2.0 and VIA Samuel 2 stepping 03
Hello, I have attached a patch wich adds support for 4kb pages to xen 2.0 proper. (No changes were required from xen 2.0-beta. Apprently mixing xenolinux from one release and xen kernel from another release is a no-no. Other than that there were no problems. Thanks to Rupert Schlick for helping to nail it down. The "noacpi" parameter does not seem to be mandatory. Finally

Named and Firewalls
Since it seems that named is theme of the month. I though I would present an example of using firewall to protect your bind service. One of reasons for presenting is that in all examples shown so far it seemed that everyone suggested to leave named full-open. However, it does not always have to be case. Say, if you are running an private network then you want just to allow named get data

byg report : "console=com1" and "Unknown interrupt"
hello, I''m booting xen on iTuner over serial console. It seems to me that it is bug that unless I explictly specify "console=com1" I get unhelpfull message "Unknown Interrupt" and halt (infinite loop). sh-2.05b# /sbin/kexec -e Starting new kernel Unknown interrupt adding "console=com1" fixes this problem for me so I doubt it I''m going to look
