problem configuring package udunits
Hi R Users, I am new to running R on a Linux platform (I'm used to Windows) - I'm running R 2.7.0 on Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) as sudo (without Emacs). My architecture is Pentium D (x86_64). I am having problems successsfully configuring the downloaded package 'udunits'. When I execute > install.packages("udunits", lib="/usr/local/lib/R/library") I get the following result: trying URL 'http://cran.cnr.Berkeley.edu/src/contrib/udunits_1.3.tar.gz' Content type 'application/...

Unable to join domain by using NetJoinDomain on Windows
...times which only occured only one time in 4.7.x. 3. According to the online informations, I add a setting "server schannel = auto" in samba's configuration file and try to add this machine to the domain once again in samba 4.9.4. Finnally, this virtual machine was added to the domain successsfully. My question is : 1. why is samba able to change the authentication protocol when it failed in samba 4.7.x but it isn't in 4.9.4. 2. After I set "server schannel = auto", it seems to be add to domain successfully. Is that a proper way to add this setting in samba's config file?...

cvs commit: src/usr.bin/make job.c

Weird behaviour when using "kernel oplocks = yes" leading to "corrupt" files - bug in samba?
Hi folks, Today I noticed some strange behaviour when accessing a samba server (samba 3.0.25a) from windows: On our Debian fileserver I prepared a file testfile.txt being owned by user usera and group dpt-a. Then I "setfacl -m g:admins:rwx testfile.txt". User userb who is only in group admins, but not in dpt-a is thus permitted to access and change this file by its POSIX-ACL, which

XL: pv guests dont reboot after migration (xen4.1.2-rc2-pre)
A pv guest will not reboot after migration, the guest itself does everything right, including the shutdown, but xl does not recreate the guest, it just shuts it down. This goes for 2.6.39 and 3.0.4 guest kernels, havent tried different ones. I also haven tried different xen versions. Dont know if this would affect hvm, probably not since qemu leaves the guest running and does a
