problem configuring package udunits
Hi R Users,
I am new to running R on a Linux platform (I'm used to Windows) - I'm running R
2.7.0 on Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) as sudo (without Emacs). My architecture is
Pentium D (x86_64).
I am having problems successsfully configuring the downloaded package 'udunits'.
When I execute
> install.packages("udunits", lib="/usr/local/lib/R/library")
I get the following result:
trying URL 'http://cran.cnr.Berkeley.edu/src/contrib/udunits_1.3.tar.gz'

Unable to join domain by using NetJoinDomain on Windows

4.7.x.
3. According to the online informations, I add a setting "server schannel =
auto" in samba's configuration file and try to add this machine to the
domain once again in samba 4.9.4. Finnally, this virtual machine was added
to the domain successsfully.
My question is :
1. why is samba able to change the authentication protocol when it failed
in samba 4.7.x but it isn't in 4.9.4.
2. After I set "server schannel = auto", it seems to be add to domain
successfully. Is that a proper way to add this setting in samba's config

I did not get this error in previous versions (just tried it again for

I see the messages about Solaris 2.6 relating to versions of gnu make.
It does make me wonder if configure needs the latest g77. Could that be
the problem? We are using g77 version 5.21 (and gnu make version 3.74).

Weird behaviour when using "kernel oplocks = yes" leading to "corrupt" files - bug in samba?
...dows-access was
killed, no error-message was probably be sent out.
When googling for SIGIO and samba, I noticed some google-hits talking
about oplocks, so I just tried disabling kernel oplocks in smb.conf:
"kernel oplocks = no". This did the trick, after restarting samba, the
writes were successsful again.
Since the manpage states I would want oplocks (and I do *g*), I
enabled them again and tried debugging using gdb (to provide the
samba-team with a more detailed report). As I don't really know gdb, I
failed in the first attempt because of samba forking multiple
processes which were...

XL: pv guests dont reboot after migration (xen4.1.2-rc2-pre)
A pv guest will not reboot after migration, the guest itself does
everything right, including the shutdown, but xl does not recreate the
guest, it just shuts it down.
This goes for 2.6.39 and 3.0.4 guest kernels, havent tried different
ones. I also haven tried different xen versions.
Dont know if this would affect hvm, probably not since qemu leaves the
guest running and does a
