> Does it work if you manually add userPrincipalName=CLIENT02.DOMAIN.TLD to your clients ldap entry and reexport the keytab? I already thought about trying that. So by now, I tried tweaking the client's LDAP entry. Adding userPrincipalName=CLIENT02.DOMAIN.TLD does not succeeed, however, after reviewing the ldap filter once again, I added userPrincipalName=nfs/client02.domain.tld at

Validation method vs. After Save & Rollback
Hey Guys, Again, I am just learning Rails, so I am asking advice here. I have a model called Company which has many Owners. The Owners model indicates the name of the owner and their share (as a percentage) of the company. The total shares for any one company can not be more than 100%. So if I have 10 owners each with 10% of the company and I update one of the owners and set their share to 11%,

Templates and undefined variables
...) defined to a non-empty value b) defined to an empty value c) undefined However case c) causes problems - in templatewrapper.rb::method_missing it causes an error to be thrown. I''ve changed my copy so that it merely warns instead and returns nil. Interestingly the defined? check _never_ succeeeds - it always returns false :( I''ve done some google to see if anyone else has been doing optional bits like this but couldn''t see any which makes me suspicious. Is this a reasonable thing to expect? If the "correct" approach is to define all variables in the base clas...

Hi Matthias, adding (or better replacing) the userPrincipalName attribute with the nfs/* one, is exactly what you need to do. For some reason the NFS client's request *only* matches the userPrincipalName attribute, while all other services I tried so far are fine when matching one of the values in servicePrincipalName attribute. NFS seems to be a very special kind of kerberos service as it

Beryl and Compiz Merge: What's actually going on?
Compiz and Beryl merge: What's really going on? Recently Quinns post to the beryl-dev mailing list entitled 'Merge on' has led to a lot of discussion, some of which has been good and some of which has led to a lot of misinformation, to clear things up I'd like to give the story of the merge, and the justification for some of the more peculiar aspects. Basically lets try to avoid

regcontext, NoOp extension vanishes when extension reload and doesn't come back
Hi All, I just noticed something interesting. When a sip device registers and regcontext is setup in sip.conf, a NoOp priority 1 extension is dynamically created in the dialplan within the specified regcontext. Works great. If for some reason, modification is made to the extension.conf and a >reload extension is performed, those dynamically created extensions in the regcontext vanish. Now

[libvirt] LXC, user namespaces and systemd
Hi! I with my colleagues from Samsung trying to run systemd in Linux container. I saw that the others are experimenting in this topic, so I would like to present the results of my work and tests, perhaps it will be helpful to others. As the prototype I used a manual written by Daniel: https://www.berrange.com/posts/2013/08/12/running-a-full-fedora-os-inside-a-libvirt-lxc-guest/ After many

Samba and kerberized NFSv4
Hi Marcel thx. for your fast response. I didn't manage to follow up sooner. I had already verbose logging turned on but I don't seem to find the real reason, why the domain controller searchs for a userPrincipalName instead of servicePrincipalName. Because I wasn't sure whether it is the nfs client process or the server process that failed to get the kerberos ticket when I tried the
