Optimization problem with nonlinear constraint
Dear all,
I'm looking for a way to solve a simple optimization problem with a
nonlinear constraint. An example would be
max x s.t. y = x * T ^(x-1)
where y and T are known values.
optim() and constrOptim() do only allow for box or linear constraints,
so I did not succedd here. I also found hints to donlp2 but this does
not seem to be available anymore.
Any hints are welcome,
Uli

[Bridge] aoe/vblade on "localhost"
...9
what i want to do is nicely described in this bugreport by some other person:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=336772
i want to connect a AoE driver to vblade on _one_ host and i have tried that mentioned "clever juggling of network devices" on my system, but i didn`t succedd.
some coraid employee recommended trying linux-bridging - so i created two dummy interfaces (module dummy.ko), created a bridge "aoe-bridge" and added dummy0 and dummy1 to that bridge.
then i "connected" AoE-driver to dummy0 and vblade server process to dummy1 and would have e...

SRV records not added by subsequent DC's
...So i digged further and found a mail from you from October 2017, suggesting to run samba_dnsupdate [0]
So, i ran
/usr/sbin/samba_dnsupdate
(using DNS) which fails.
Running
/usr/sbin/samba_dnsupdate --use-samba-tool
succedd and the missing SRV entries are created. So I added
dns update command = /usr/sbin/samba_dnsupdate --use-samba-tool
to my smb.conf now.
But as the original OP I am curious ;) and want to know why. You
explained that this is a Kerberos problem. And then Andrew wrote

SRV records not added by subsequent DC's
Hello,
sorry to ask this many questions, but I want to know why things happen
they way they do and if perhaps something is wrong.
Our new, shiny domain created by classicupgrade consists of 4 (four) domain controllers.
dc1 was the first, which was created by classicupgrade. Then I added dc2, dchks and dcirm using
samba-tool domain join iww.lan DC -U "IWW\Administrator"
