indexes?
...within one box although this cannot be 100% guaranteed. There is the risk of multiple simultaneous access (e.g. simultaneous LDA/delivers; simultaneous LDA/deliver and user-driven IMAP update; etc.). So locking is an important consideration. Decent "noac,actimeo=0" seems to address this succcessfully. But indexes... What is the best place for the index files? Logically alongside the INBOX area on the shared-NFS area? Or within each UN*X machine? (Or something else?) And why? Is there documentation of what functionality the index files provide, and how, if at all, this interacts with the...

Still having touble with Redhat 7.1 and windows 2003 DC authentication.
...still going round in circles trying to get winbindd authentication against a 2003 server working. I have what appears to be the same problem as: http://www.ssite.org/articles/view.aspx?class=2&articleid=2 There's something wrong with the SMB Packet signing on this machine. In parallel, I succcessfully built and have got working samba-devel on FreeBSD 5.1 against the same ADS. I used these hints: http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-questions@freebsd.org/msg33123.html and it works (using a pretty much identical smb.conf) Key additions are: client signing = Yes server signing = Yes...

Windows does not ask for login details after first successful login
...for any login credentials and directly opens up the folder of the previous user. This can be avoided only if I restart my system and start fresh. So, I feel there is some setting in the XP box that needs to be changed so that multiple users can login from the same xp box one after the other after succcessfully giving their userids and passwords. Hope I've made it clear. So could someone tell me what needs to be tweaked from xp end so that I can enable multiple logon from the same system (XP). Awaiting replies. OS X 10.6 Server - Dovecot Issue
I've just taken over support for an OS X Server (v10.6.8) box, and am a bit new at Postfix & Dovecot. We're having an problem where, intermittently, dovecot seems to be bouncing messages inbound for some of my existing users. Here is the mail.log entry for a successful delivery: Aug 21 16:58:45 mail postfix/pipe[64094]: D68783AE0F75: to=<sblondin at eem.ca>, relay=dovecot,

zpool fails with panic in zio_ddt_free()
Hello all, I am not sure my original mail got through to the list (I haven''t received it back), so I attach it below. Anyhow, now I have a saved kernel crash dump of the system panicking when it tries to - I believe - deferred-release the corrupted deduped blocks which are no longer referenced by the userdata/blockpointer tree. As I previously wrote in my thread on unfixeable
