Strange interaction of sftp and protocol version 1

Samba works simply as a forwarding mechinsim between the client and the Unix printer subystem, and as such isn't able to do this kind of thing easily. Your best bet might be to convince the unix printing subystems to print a 'cover page' on the job, possibly aided with some info from samba. (Which almost certainly will NOT contain the file's path).
