two-sample test of multinomial proportion
Hi all,
This is perhaps more a statistics question than an R question, but I
hope it's OK anyhow.
I have some data (see below) with the number of tests positive to
subtype H1 of a virus, the number of tests postive to subtype H3, and
the total number of tests. This is for two different groups, and the
two subtypes are mutually exclusive.
What is the best way to test if the proportion of H1 tests to all
positive tests differ between the two groups?
I could run prop....

a link has an url and a description and a photo a reference to the file

What to choose? Single Table Inheritance? Not really an option since the
post types are very different.
A polymorphic relation mabye, with a Post; has_one :subtype,
:polymorphic => true;
And that''s what I did, but soon enough I saw that it gave me a lot of
problems.
First of all, it''s not really a subtype, in this case :subtype is really
a child model. When I have a post of type link, I would access the title

When using read.spss (library: 'foreign') I get the following warning
message:
Warning message:
E:/R4win/mesamri.sav: Unrecognized record type 7, subtype 13

I don't see anything wrong with record #7 in the database I am trying
to read in, but I suspect that the warning message does not refer to a
specific record, but a "variable" type. Is this correct? And what does
"subtype 13" mean?

PMTU - ICMP type 3/subtype 4 on 2.4.x
Hello,
I try to set up my Linux 2.4.x system to respond by "ICMP Destination Unreachable message" subtype 4 ("fragmentation needed and DF set") in order to support the Path MTU Discovery (RFC 1191) as a router.
There is any /proc/xxx parameter to do this?
Thanks

unit testing with model inheritence
Having jotted down some models, with some inheritence I tried to run some
unit tests. After waiting for rake test_units to run I got a rake of errors
(if you''ll forgive the play on words). The errors were to do with unknown
tables in the tear down stage. The unknown tables corresponded to sub-types
where single table inheritence was used. In other words, these tables
