problem plotting with ggplot2
Dear R-Help subsribers,
upon running into a wonderful ggplot2 package by accident, I abruptly
encountered another problem. Almost every command run with ggplot2 results
in some sort of error. The one below is far the most common one. Kind people
from ggplot2 mailing list couldn't manage to solve the problem, so I'm
re-posting it here to try my luck. I will recommend myself for any tips

Getting the commit message from Phabricator
I'm not sure if this is well known, but it helped me so I thought I'd share
it with you.
When committing to gitmonorepo, (with git llvm push) you need to have
committed to your local repo first and so you need to have crafted your
commit message from your the Phabricator revision. (e.g. D12345)
Phabricator has the ability to give you this commit message it would have
used, even if you do

CentOS at FOSDEM
Hi all,
FOSDEM is coming and it would be nice if CentOS users and developers
are present.
FOSDEM will take place at 24 and 25 february 2007. (so mark those dates in
your calendar!)
I guess what we need is a wiki page about FOSDEM linked from some 'CentOS
events' page and then people can start planning and indicating who's
coming and what the topics could be.

Someone needs to send network traces and debug level 10 logs
for this. And try to reproduce the same against a Windows
server.

File permissions: system groups for do not work for group/shared mailboxes
Hello!
I am struggling to set up a group mailbox for users of a certain system group. I want to grant access to the mailbox on a filesystem mode by using the system groups.
The problem, the set up works fine and when I use setfacl and grant permissions too each user manually, it works fine. However, I want to use a system user's group membership in order to grant access to these mailboxes

Need 2 additional folders like INBOX for JUNK and INFECTED mails
...so on.
I've adjusted some commands in the ./src/imap folder.
But it's work not really fine:
Creating a folder works, but deleting too. *smile*
Moving a "special-name-folder" (f.e. from Trash) to its correct place,
Dovecot says, that the folder is currently there.
subsribing / unsubscribing doesn't work, too.
...
...
...
I think that this is a "standard" problem for much people, who don't
want, that the users will delete files through the imap protocol.
Are there any solutions?
Thanx

FCR1: Syslinux boot disk after Kernel Update
Hi,
I'm running fedora core rel. 1 on a dual system, using syslinux on a
floppy disk as boot manager to start fedora. However, after up2date, I
can't start fedora with the new kernel, as syslinux probably points to
the old one. Kernel installation was done automatically via rpm (up2date
online), but it didn't change syslinux parameters.
What do I need to change in syslinux config

VT built in?
Hi Xen team,
one short question before I grab the new machine of a colleague: did you
build Xen3 for Sid with VMX (virtualization with the newer
Vander...Pacifica)? Or will I have to build it myself?
Sorry for the direct mail to this list, but I'm not subscribed to
Debian-Users. Please CC me, as I'm also not subsribed here. Thx.
kind regards,
Wolfgang

Samba Bug?
Hi,
I've been trying to get in touch with someone to discuss a problem
with Samba that I've been experiencing. I can reproduce the bug
on the systems for which I am responsible, and am interested to
know whether it is a local problem or a genuine bug. (I have searched
the archives, updated to the latest Samba release and read the docs :)
I posted to this list and have had no replies -

Notification of file modification in subdirectories not working
Hi Volker
Thanks for reply.
managed to capture Samba logs 4.2.7 in debug 10
Subsribed to events on path /watchfolder recursively.
First notification is renaming a folder in a subfolder, path
/watchfolder/test/renamed - that works OK.
Second notification is on path /watchfolder/test/subfile.txt and editing
that in Notepad on another Windows 7 machine via UNC path
That does not show

CentOS 5.3 installation on HP DL380 R05 server
Hi All
I will need to install CentOS 5.3 on HP DL380 R05 server with RAID-1
required. I am a newbie to CentOS / HP servers, need your help:
- Does CentOS 5.3 work smoothly with HP DL380 server especially
recognizing SAS disks and hardware RAID-1 features? From you experience, do
you have to use HP Storage Drivers provided for RedHat Enterprise Linux 5?

mailing list for basic questions - preliminary sum up
Dear R-user,
I already received quite a lot of replies to this mail and like to do a
preliminary sum up.
A few were sceptical about the use of such a beginner mailing list.
The arguments were that people starting with R will only stay subscribed for
a short time
until they reached the R-help "level" and therefore only beginner will teach
beginner how to
use R.

I am wondering if there is any efficient way of extract the country code,
area code, and local code into 3 different variables from one DNID that can

Country code can have 2 or 3 digits
Area code can have 2 or 3 digits
Local num can be 7-10 digits
Is there anyway to break
