Hi there R-Helpers, Does anyone know if it is possible to sort a dataframe? I.e. Sort alphabetically column 1 ( which has some reocurring elements) then sort alphabetically column2 but keeping the order of column 1 constant; much the same way that the sort function works in Excel. Hi !            I am new to R. Can somebody help me in reformatting huge output files ,i.e, rearranging sets of columns in specific order. For example: I have data for three compunds 1, 2 and 3 file1: ID CA1 CA3 CA2 MA2 MA1 MA3 1 14 15 13 7 12 3 2 19 7 12 10 14 5 3 21 12 19 6 8 9   to File 2:   ID CA1 CA2 CA3 MA1 MA2 MA3 1 14 13 15 12 7 3 2 19 12 7 14 10 5 3 21 19 12 8 6 9   or File3: ID
