mach64 driver, latest update in CentOS 6.8, symbol lookup error
...have any more things to try?
Yes I know the mach64 is an old video card, but that is what is there.
Since CentOS just follows the upstream source, I am not sure where to file a bug. Not that that is likely to help. I am batting 0 for 5 over the last decade and a half getting anything fixed.

When I bring up the printer dialog in "The Print Shop"
the box with the printers is empty. If there was a way
to run the "add printer" dialog that would be nice,
although I will accept and solution.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

CentOS 5 Beta - Yum Updates?
...achine from the DVD. I configured
it with both KDE and Gnome. I am using
the default YUM configurtion which loaded
with the DVD.
Unlike FC7T2, CentOS 5 Beta does not seem to pick
up Yum updates. Is this by design or do I
need to add repos to my /etc/yum.repos.d?
Thanks for any suggestions

Xorg problem
I was also successful with 7 computers, however they run version 6.7.
For some reason this one computer upgraded to 6.8 and Xorg does not work.
I also changed to 3 different terminals and it did not help.
I am not giving up yet.

I do not want to foul things up trying to get the BDC to work.
I am not ready to try switching to LDAP, although I will do this if it is
the only way.
Thanks for any help.

Can I force yum to only use http.
Our outsourced IT department has decided to use white listing on the firewalls for outbound ftp. I was given a list of sites our lab had accessed via ftp and eventually tracked them down to Linux machines running yum. They are all CentOS 5 or 6 with a smattering of 7. It is impractical to list all the possibilities since they change on a regular basis. Also any 3rd party repos we need are

CentOS 5 Beta Dual Boot Problem
To test CentOS 5, I loaded from DVD adding it to
a system at home running Fedora Core 7 T2.
Partition Layout is:
/dev/hda1 - / for the RH7T2 system
/dev/hda2 - /home
/dev/hda3 - swap
/dev/hda4 - extended
/dev/hda5 - / for CentOS 5
The system loaded cleanly and gave me the
opportunity to tell grub about the other system.
CentOS boots fine. Grub Stage 2 will show me
both systems.

Need help
Try another console like ALT-F2. See if you have a black screen login prompt. I opened a bug with RedHat for a system that when I went from 6.7 to 6.8 booted but would not start the X server. Problem was in the MACH64 driver. It is missing an external symbol that the X server requires.

Hello Bob,
looks like, the driver isn't rebuilt, take the centos 6.8 ISO and look
how it goes.

Configure parameters for Redhat Linux 7.1

I could not find this in the archives.
Also, it appears smbsh is still broke in
Samba 2.2.1 for Redhat 7.2. Is this known
to be the case?
Thanks for any help.
