limit results to specific IDs
How would you go about searching only a specific set of IDs in
acts_as_ferret? Should I just create a huge "or" query or is there a
more stylish way?
Thanks,

Cisco 7960 on Asterisk?
Hello,
I am just building my first Asterisk server.
Looking for a couple of good quality ip phones.
I like the Cisco 7960, are they easy to configure to work with Asterisk?
What are the alternatives, with a good speaker phone, and simple clean
and stylish look like the Cisco?
I appreciate your advice.
Kind regards

Creating a scrolling effect with slider
I''m currently working on a method to implement a scroller for a div
using a slider. I need to do this as an alternative to making a stylish
flash scroller with content.
The main advantage of this method is to allow the ability to style the
sliding elements cross browser (and maybe as a future add on... the
ability to have a scroll.to for a scrolling div).
This is my first attempt at

RJS support "toggle" effect?
Does RJS inherently support the Element.toggle effect? I haven''t been
able to call it the way you call "appear", "fade", etc...

IMHO, I think that user-defined binary operators are being over-used
within the R community.
I don't think that they're "cute" or stylish.
I think their use should be limited to cases, where they significantly
increase the readability of the code.
However, readability, is a (partly) subjective topic...

Good Will Legal Question
Hi R Team!,
?
We are opening a new start up soon, codinghoodies.com, we want to make coders feel stylish.
?
Out of goodwill I wanted to ask you formally if I can have permission to use the standard R logo on the front of hoodies to sell? I have read your rules but wanted to ask as I feel a moral right to email you asking to show support and respect for the R project.
?
If it makes it easier I

Good Will Legal Question
My guess: It I clear from the link that they can use the R logo for commercial purposes. The issue is what to do about the "appropriate credit" and "link to the license." How would I do that on a hoodie? Would they need a web address or something?

I need more bling!
...ave, honest and true. My core, my life experience, my very being,
is robustly anti-bling.
Where does a guy like me turn to learn how to *use* these cool Ajax-y
things, without making something that looks ridiculous? I understand
the technology side of things; it''s the "make it look stylishly
enticing" part of things I''m struggling with. I have a graphic
designer friend I could call on, but she''s not across Web 2.0 stuff at
all and I don''t think we actually speak a common language when it
comes to design vs. functionality.
Thanks in advance for any sugg...

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
We would like to introduce you Ani Antonsen?s personal exhibition.
She is an artist and in her country people call her ?A Queen of flowers?.
And everyone who is going to look at her exhibition will understand why the
article in a local paper, which has been published during one of her
exhibitions, said so about her.
You will be able to have a look on some of her

Techfone VOIP phone
I ran across this company today and wondered if anyone was using their
phone:
http://www.techfone.com/
it's only $189 and has pretty good features for a VOIP phone although it's
only got H323 (no SIP support).
Has anyone seen these or is using one of these with Asterisk?
If not, I'm going to see if I can get one for testing.

SysV style printer interface (Works atleast in SCO)
Samba comes with some sort of sysv stylish printer interface but
it doesnt do much except puts the file queued to printspooler to
smb printer.
I've made few posts to differenet newsgroups and ran a quick search
thru sambas mailing lists and didnt find anything *really* usefull.
What i really needed was printer reseting and lp commandline parsing
so that i could change to cpi and lpi

[LLVMdev] RFC: variable names
After having read through this long thread, I'm having trouble
spotting a case of someone saying lowerCamelCase variable names is a
bad idea. Nick's original proposal looks good to me. What do we need
to do to move forward here?
Thanks,

Xen IBM X3400 boots dead
I am attempting to install a Xen solution on an IBM X3400.
The raid card is the IBM M1015 which is based on the LSI 9220-8I. I followed the directions on the tutorial called "RHEL6 Xen4 Tutorial" at http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/RHEL6_Xen4_Tutorial .
When I attempt to boot the kernel the computer freezes. I don''t get any errors or anything helpful.
I have also attempted to
