It isn't starting...it tries to for a long time and then just craps out. Anyway, I decided to go and have a quick read through the SER docs and in the section about NAT they say that the best way to address NAT is to use STUN or uPNP.. So my question is would it not be better to couple STUND (Vovida.org) with Asterisk and then use nat=yes in the sip.conf for UA's that do not support STUN, instead of using SER which would be like learning Asterisk all over again and would require you to learn how to use the SER config language to manage your NAT transtaltions.. Hi all, This is the first time i am using stun with asterisk for nat problems. I have read the rfc which describes how stun works. i didnt have any problems understanding it. I have also intalled the stun server called stund which i downloaded from sourceforge. I have seen on the list that most people use stund here. I have started the stun server and its running silently. Now i dont know what to do next. Is there something more to it, like configuration files which i can use for special configuration for asterisk, or...

And I'd really prefer that STUN be running in the office, and not on my personal server. So I'm wondering... I'm using stund from SourceForge. We've tried a bunch of things including messing with the nat settings in asterisk and with using a stund server. Its happening with 2 different clients, Firefly and Xlite.
