Setting IMAP root as user's home directory. How?
...w-imap, just by copying
.mailboxlist without the INBOX line in it into .subscriptions
I tried each of these, one at a time:
default_mail_env = mbox:~/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
default_mail_env = mbox:%h/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
default_mail_env = mbox:/home/%u/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
In each case, dovecot was stubornly creating /home/username/mail
Please CC me, I'm not on the mailing list. Thanks.

Dynamic form? Not really!
...appilly coding my first rails app, and all goes well. I find myself
manually coding in a particular field all the time (company_id), that relates
the contact to a company. The total coding of this form seems somewhat much.
Could somebody tell me what Rails power I''m possibly missing and stuborn as I
am trying to do myself?
I was wondering if the first part of the form can simply be put in the loop
somehow and still be a dropdownlist. So if anybody wants to shoot, here''s the
form code:
<%= start_form_tag :action => ''update_contact'', :id => @contact...

Plot a sphere
Hi,
I'm new to R (and math ;) Would somebody please be so kind as to direct me
in plotting a 3D sphere?
I tried something in the lines of:
####
y <- x <- seq(-pi, pi, length=pi*10)
f <- function(x,y)
{
z <- sqrt(pi - x^2 - y^2)
#z[is.na(z)] <- 0
z
}
z <- outer(x, y, f)
persp(x, y, z, theta = 120, phi = 30)
####
I've also tried: .... make.surface.grid(...) ..

Checking remote servers
I''d like to hear some suggestions about securely administering a
system remotely. Here''s the application: a project is going to
scatter some server machines around the US. The server machines will
be running Linux, with the only network servers being a custom
application.
Ignoring the separate question of physical security, how can I
remotely check the system''s
