the MachineIR level anyway ... have you seen this anywhere?

[LLVMdev] Removing TargetMachine CPU auto-detection for PowerPC and SystemZ?
...eantime changed to do the auto-detection before
setting up the JIT context, and I assume other JIT users have done so as
well by now. For clang, this was never done automatically anyway.

Samba File locking details
.... Can someone help
debug this?
Also, if a client managed to get an X lock on a file and the client box
failed, when is the lock released? NFS v4 uses a lease mechanism, how does
samba release such locks?

...it might not be all that big a deal.
The benefit would be that it allows the back-end the greatest freedom how
to handle things (e.g. interactions with target-specific control
registers).

LLVM PPC JIT Error
Hi Ulrich, and any other llvm PowerPC/JIT users,
It looks like the Numba maintainers have run in to an issue with
RuntimeDyldELF's PowerPC support (See
https://github.com/numba/numba/issues/2451#issuecomment-377739948 and later
comments)
Due to a recent change to weak symbol handling, we now always resolve to
