[LLVMdev] Documentation of bitcasts in calls
...? In particular, the parantheses around the arguments of the
bitcast are confusing me.
Alternatively, is there a way to tell clang not to inline such bitcasts,
but have them in a separate instruction before and use the result in the
call?
Best regards,
Thomas

[LLVMdev] Data layout of structs
...e of 4 byte. What is the reason
for the struct having the data layout of two times 8 bytes instead
of having 4 bytes for the integer and 8 bytes for the pointer to the
next element? Is there a general rule for the data layout of structs
in LLVM?
Thank you,

SMTPUTF8 support
...configuration, it is relatively easy, even with slightly outdated
software in Debian Stretch.
The trick I am using is to include the internationalised email address
aside the main one, and to use Postfix LDAP lookup.
For instance, I am using this LDAP schema:
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-stroeder-mailboxrelatedobject-07
So, my LDAP lookup table for Postfix looks like this:
# Basic LDAP settings for postfix
server_host = ldap://ldap.rodier.me/
start_tls = yes
search_base = dc=rodier,dc=me
search_scope = sub
# Allow advanced LDAP search with the recipient del...

SMTPUTF8 support
Andr?, are you quite sure you have it working?
In this thread someone from Open-Xchange stated that no, Dovecot doesn?t
have SMTPUTF8 support implemented, and the same response was given by
another Dovecot developer last September (it ?is being considered? was
the answer then, see
https://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2018-September/112887.html).
I am using LMTP to deliver mail to Dovecot from

security BPC
HI!
Disclaimer:
I'm a libvirt beginner using it for managing virtual machines based on qemu-kvm.
Is there any documentation describing how to harden libvirt/qemu-kvm installations?
Escpecially how to improve isolation of VMs:
- secure time sync (with or without ntpd?)
- random number generation
- running VMs as different host OS users
I do not need general OS hardening advice.

virtual wlan0
HI!
My goal is to run a virtualized access point with hostapd.
Is it possible to use the host's WIFI interface in a VM created with libvirt? I
can add the interface in bridged mode but it appears just as normal eth1 without
wireless extensions.
Ciao, Michael.

trouble after upgrading from 3.0.0 to 3.1.0
HI!
After the last OS update (openSUSE Tumbleweed) with libvirt being updated from 3.0.0 to
3.1.0 starting the VMs (qemu-kvm) does not work anymore:
error: internal error: child reported: Kernel does not provide mount namespace:
Permission denied
Kernel was updated before to 4.10.1 and worked just fine with libvirt 3.0.0 packages.
Any clue how to work around that?
Ciao, Michael.

disabling dnsmasq
HI!
I have some virtual networks (not only bridged) in my libvirt 3.3.0 installation and
therefore libvirt always starts dnsmasq. But I want to use my own DHCP and DNS servers
which are correctly working for this VM infrastructure.
How to completely disable dnsmasq in libvirt?
Ciao, Michael.
