ignore error in for-loop
...a for-loop and I don't want the program to exit the loop? Rather instead I would like it to just go to the next number in the loop and try again with the new number. Is there any function like "on error go back to" or "skip error" ... ? Calculate weighted proportions for several factors at once
Hi, I have a grouped data set and would like to calculate weighted proportions for a large number of factor variables within each group member. Rather than using dplyr::count() on each of these factors individually, the idea would be to do it for all factors at once. Does anyone know how this would work? Here is a reproducible example: ############################################################

How to get the test statistic corresponding to the p-value in mtable?
Dear R-Users, I want to use mtable from package "memisc" to produce Latex-style estimation output. However, mtable() only gives me a p-value and not the corresponding test-statistic. Does anyone know how to extract it, either from a glm/anova object or mtable? Here is a short example: # Run this #################### install.packages("memisc") library(memisc) set.seed(1)

How to change labels in scatterplot?
Dear all, I'm trying to use "scatterplot" from package "car" to get a scatterplot with row-names as labels and I want my data to be divided into two groups defined by the column "tresh". Leaving away the groups-command gives me the right labels but they are not distinguished by colors according to "tresh". Does anybody know why the following example

panel data analysis possible with mle2 (bbmle)?
Dear R community, I want to estimate coefficients in a (non-linear) system of equations using 'mle2' from the "bbmle" package. Right now the whole data is read in as just one long time series, when it's actually 9 cross sections with 30 observations each. I would like to be able to test and correct for autocorrelation but haven't found a way to do this in this package.

Adding textbox to multiple panels in lattice
Dear R-users, I am trying to add some text in a textbox to all panels in the following example file. Using the panel-function, I can add a white rectangle with panel.rect but then I have to fit in the text into the box by hand and it will not automatically be centered. Does anyone know how to add the text centered with a white box around it automatically? Is there something like panel.textbox for
