no GET streamlist ?Re: relay servers
should there be a constant GET /admin/streamlist on a relay main server ??
this may be my problem ; what would cause this to stop updating ? but
still remain running ..

Relay authentication on kh-57
Is something broken here?
I'm trying to do a test of relaying between two servers running kh-57.
Master-slave relaying fails: the connection fails on the master with:
[2004-11-01 17:05:32] DBUG admin/admin_handle_request Got command
(streamlist.txt)
[2004-11-01 17:05:32] INFO admin/admin_handle_request Bad or missing
password on admin command request (command: streamlist.txt)
As far as I can tell, the master and slave have the correct relay
password set.
If I switch to per stream relaying, it fails for a different reason,

It should. I just tried it out my own instructions after letting them go
a few days. I didn't want them fresh in my mind. I simply copied the
configs and played dumb (not too hard). I then started up my playlist
server and am listening to it right now. I tested out the streaming
stuff a few days ago with good results.

Oddcast suggestion
I don't develop in C unfortunately, but I think I've thought of another
way of doing it for those using Winamp.
A DSP plugin could be developed to read /admin/streamlist to get number
of listeners. If listeners is zero then zero the audio data. Place
this in front of the OddCast DSP. I'm not exactly sure what is possible
with a DSP plugin. Someone else may know if the audio data can be
completely removed or does it need to output digital silence, which

How to fix broken ogg/theora files

I am working on a patch for oggCut for that issue (looks good actually but I would like to do some testing befor I can release a patch.)

Relaying between icecast 2.3 servers
...st, but i can't find a solution.
I have 2 icecast 2.3 server. One should be the master, the other one
should become a slave, to be able to distribute the load.
But the slave server does not learn any mountpoints.
The main problem seem to be, that the the URL
http://streamingserver:8000/admin/streamlist.txt
just returns a empty HTML(<html><body></body></html>) document.
I have read in another document that i need to define the mountpoints. I
tried it, but nothing changed.
Can someone give me a hint, how to get relaying working?

Looking for a better way
Okay, so here is what I have now. I am setting up an icecast server for our customers
to use for streaming audio -- in particular there will be a couple of radio stations
in town using it. I want it to run on a cluster of systems for redundancy. So I have
the server running on two identical machines on one ip that is dedicated to streaming

mountpoint
- Fix segfault on some bad opus streams

- Fix information disclosure CVE that allowed to view the source
of a xsl file by appending a `.` to it, when using Icecast on Windows

Icecast2 and Ices2 and Authentication Probs.
Can anybody help me, I have Icecast2 and Ices2 on Mandrake and want to play a static playlist.
I am getting the following problem:

Set up a stream directory
Hello,
I'd like to setup something similar to dir.xiph.org on a lan. The goal
is simply to show users what radios are currently available. The
documentation explains how to configure the peercast server for being
referenced on yellow pages, but there is nothing about the yellow pages
server.
So, is the source for dir.xiph.org available for this?

Icecast2 Relays/Mounts - Adding without Restarting Server
Is it at all possible to add Icecast2 Relays or Mounts without having
to restart the server, and thus drop all the other existing
connections in the process?

Icecast 2.3.2 release

- Header updates for proxy handling and certain clients like some
shoutcast source clients and flash players.
- Added Kate/Skeleton codecs to Ogg handler.
- Various stats cleanups. Added some global stats (server ID, email
