The fact that Icecast 2.4 lacks this info makes it impossible (or close
to impossible short of scraping the listener page) to collect listener
time stats.
The listener stats (the id, ip and connected) is vital for building the
logs that StreamLicensing.com needs.
Due to this SL can only support Shoutcast v1, SHoutcastv2 and Icecast-KH.
These stats are vital for the calculation and reporting of the royalties
to SoundExchange and various PROs.
This causes a small issue as server hosting companies only support
Icecast (not the -KH branch), and Ce...

Shoutcast v1, Shoutcast v2, Icecast-KH are all "compatible" with the way
info is collected by StreamLicensing.
Some may wonder why bothering to humor StreamLicensig, but the thing is
that other licensing/royalty collectors did it the same way.
StreamLicensing are now sadly the only ones that cater to small

Sending artist - title - album metadata
...itle - Album"
This displays on a player, typically (eg WinAmp), as
Title: Title - Album
Artist: Artist
There is no "album" field as such.
We also notice, looking at the xspf file, that the "creator" tag is empty, while with the autodj it contains the artist.
The spec from StreamLicensing is "Your stream meta-data needs to include artist - title - album info (album info if available)." and
"Your encoder should be transmitting the required Meta Fields that are Artist, Title and Album. Most automation systems do this by default but you may need to check the users guide...
