Box M test
Dear List
I am looking for a script that will calculate the Box M test to test the homogeneity of the variance/covariance matrix between two matrices.
If anyone could send me the script I would appreciate it.
I am aware of the scepticism about this test, where due to extreme sensitivity a p value of 0.01 is recommended. Despite this however Box's M test is the established

openvpn restart fails with dual entry in conntrack and wrong sourceport
the establishment of an openvpn link sometimes fails.
I tracked it down to network traffic with wrong Sourceport in the answer
packet (should be 1300 not 1024):

Destination port: 1300
3 1.119446000 bbb.162.192 aaa.185.165 UDP 66 Source port: 1024
Destination port: 1300
and a collateral entry in the connection tracking table

Fwd: How to calculate different groups of varialbes importance level?
Dear R user!
I have a small question!
I have calculated the relative importance of the variables.
However I would like to compare the relative importance of two different
groups of variables (i.e Strategy and industry)
For example let me say that strategy has 2 sub varialbes and industry has
four different variables!
Can I simply add the importance of those four industry variables importance

Graphics problem with old W95 game (Panzer General 2)
Hello all,
Ubuntu (Dapper) newbie here. I installed Ubuntu two days ago. Also
installed Wine. Wine appears somewhat ok. I installed and can run
Filezilla. I also have a windows game (Steel Panthers World at War)
that installed ok, and appears to play ok, though the movement is a
little slow and a little choppy.
Anyways, I'm trying to run a W95 game, Panzer General 2. The Wine site

Shorewall 4.5.21.4
Shorewall 4.5.21.4 is now available for download.
Problems corrected since 4.5.21.3:
1) The Broadcast actions have been corrected:
o --dst-type BROADCAST has been removed from the IPv6 version
o A superfluous DROP rule in the IPv4 version has been suppressed.
2) Previously, if an HFSC class was specified with dmax but not umax,
then the firewall would fail to start with the

Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on?

the Univac 2200, LLVM, and national security
John,
One of my previous jobs was at Unisys doing a dynamic translator
for the Univac 1100 / 2200 series computers. We chose LLVM for the base
of the translator for its modularity, optimizations, and x86 code generation.
We wrote a front-end that parsed Univac instructions and generated IR
for them. It all ran on X86-Linux boxes which with some special peripheral
adaptors were then

[LLVMdev] llvm demo
Hi All,
One of possibly minor but a very cool things about LLVM has always
been the online demo on llvm.org.
Now that we have clang, I think it will be great if the demo allowed
to use it as C/C++ front-end.
This will be especially useful for testing what kind of C++ clang
accepts/can already handle.
Another nice thing would be for demo to accept llvm assembler source
(.ll), for example, to see

CentOS Plus PHP5 upgrade.
Hi Folks,
I have some users who have a 64-bit CentOS 4.x install (current),
which was installed with @Everything and then some annoying packages
strategically removed (mrtg, pegasus*, mailman...) and they have
decided they have a need for php5.
I find on the web this instruction for doing this:
http://www.centos.org/centos/4/centosplus/Readme.txt
So I try to do this, and I get:

is there a profiling gem/plugin for Ruby on Rails?
Hi,
is there a profiling gem/plugin for Ruby on Rails?
That is, where I can then specify the point in a request I want to act
as milestones points for a time to be taken, and place them
strategically. Then ideally the plugin then works out and displays how
the overall response time was made up...
Tks
