One (admittedly cumbersome) solution is to write the graph to a ps file, then take the file into Ghostview (freely available from web), convert the ps file to eps, and then insert an eps viewer. Then you can see it in word, but (yawn) it is all a bit of a hassle to straddle this particular UNIX/ microsoft divide. I did not notice degraded quality with this method.
