R process slow down after a amount of time
Hi R users, I have mentioned that R is getting slower if a process with a loop runs for a while. Is that normal? Let's say, I have a code which produce an output file after one loop run. Now after 10, 15 or 20 loop runs the time between the created files is stongly increasing. Is there maybe any data which fill some memory? named.conf: query-source address
Hi! I fully understand and second efforts on educating people how to configure BIND to be stong to attacks and keep them from using "query-source address" with "port" option but how about binding named to particular IP address when host has many of them? Using "query-source address" without "port" is the only solution (not speaking of jails here) and sa...

...and lucent (they have very expensive solutions). The question is... the company works with 2 E1 incoming lines that go directly to 50 call center agents and the rest must be redirected to other location via internet. I need to guarantee that the system will work on high demand... (we'll have stong rush times...) Does some one has seen asterisk working with that kind of demand????? Can some one recomend a harward configuration for that??? Thanks a lot... -- El Rubio

Spring Cleanup / Migrating Samba 4.5 to 4.10
With some slight delay, we did actually manage to get all our old wonky compatibility solutions nuked (turned out there were a few more lurking in the shadows than expected?). Mail servers are no longer domain joined, and unencrypted LDAP is finally gone, together with the terrible PHP scripts that needed it. Which allowed me to finally cleanup all the samba setups:

[LLVMdev] PEG parsers? (was Re: Regular Expressions)
Hello everybody, I don't quite understand how the proposed regex library works but I know that PEG parser generators use a super-set of regex functionality to define their parsers. There's also a nice one on Google code called YARDparser that uses templates based on PEGs to generate efficient recursive-decent parsers. Furthermore, my partner and I am working on an interpreter for PEG

Spring Cleanup / Migrating Samba 4.5 to 4.10
....9 version is higher then Debian Official. I personaly do the DC with FSMO roles always first, after the samba upgrade i wait about 5 min, this depends a bit on the AD-DB size/replication time, then reboot the server. Then i do the other DC, same steps. One thing i do advice before you upgrade. Stongly adviced. Backup samba AD-DC and copy : /etc/samba /var/lib/samba /var/cache/samba On the members, If you use backen RID, then do the samba on the members. For backen AD i dont do that, but its still adviced to do also. You on backend AD with the members, so your choice.. what to backup. Pat...

Host selection in ssh_config
Hello there, I'm a little afraid of writing here, hope I don't make any mistake doing so. I'm trying for days and searching the web too, but no obvious solution, no reply from the specialized forum I wrote in. Here is the situation: I would like to have a lighter security inside our domain, without changing when going outside. By "lighter security" I mean at least, no

[LLVMdev] PIC Micropchip Backend
I am interested in developing a backend for the PIC microcontrollers. Specifically, I plan to write for the 8-bit MCUs, but would hopefully also support the 16 and 32 bit models (eventually). It is my understanding that a backend for PIC16 was previously a part of the project but was dropped in version 2.9. Is there any development on this front currently? Is there any interest in developing this

RFD: With echo and other distortion, can ulaw/alaw line quality ever be good enough for faxing?
Folks, I've been following recent discussions regarding echo and echo training with much interest, since it's a problem we've never been able to eliminate here. We're facing two challenges presently, and they may be related (or not): a) Cisco 7960s in the office here echo back to our staff, but the customer hears decent sound. b) We've yet to be able to pass faxes through
