...amount of CPU power, but I've been able to do it on 4 year old PCs. Does a 206MHz Intel StrongARM 32-bit RISC processor have as much power as a 200 Mhz Pentium? I'm thinking Compaq iPaq, running Familiar Linux and IceS, would make a nice portable $220 source. Debian packages: icecast2, libshout, ices2
Hello everyone, I've been maintaining Debian packages (for sid) of icecast2, libshout, and ices2 for several months now; my production servers run Debian, and these packages make using icecast on them even more easily manageable. They've been quite solid and reliable in all of the situations I've encountered, and I've had nothing but positive reports from a couple of testers.

...; command in the admin interface. All the clients using JOrbis (a java vorbis decoder) just stop playing, and don't switch to the new stream. I'll assume this is a JOrbis problem rather than Icecast2; has anyone else had trouble with this combination before? Master vs Relay
Hello, I have working enviroment with sourceworkstation (ices2) and one broadcast icecast2 server. One live stream, working fine. Now, I want to add two another icecast servers like chain: ourceworkstation -> serverA -> serverB -> serverC o users can choose nearest server to connect. But dont know, how to configure it. Examples of config files uses 127.0.0.1 everywhere, so it is not

Could this method potentially work? Or, any other ideas on how to do the same thing? Deleting certain observations (and their imprint?)
I'm manipulating a large dataset and need to eliminate some observations based on specific identifiers. This isn't a problem in and of itself (using which.. or subset..) but an imprint of the deleted observations seem to remain, even though they have 0 observations. This is causing me problems later on. I'll use the dataset warpbreaks to illustrate, I apologize if this isn't in

.../relay> I see no reason to have a different local mount; may as well make it easy for your users. Also, I would think that both serverB and serverC should connect directly to serverA. That way, less delay and more redundancy in case serverB goes down. One more question of possible note.
Hello again all. I want to thank Karl H. for pointing me to xiph.org/~karl and getting me some save files winamp likes the first time. That ucler is at an end. The next ucler involves two rather quick questions: I > In icecast1, when a user attempted to connect to the server, didn't it just kick them to the "default stream", where the default stream was the only stream being
