follow-up on previous [HELP] messages
Here's some follow-up on some messages I posted some
time ago asking for help. Wine works again since
20010731, better than ever, if maybe a little slower.

This problem is still present. Here's a reminder:
I use Wine to run Stew, an Atari ST emulator, a
Winston0.5 derivate.
While using the emulator, I can't use the Fn keys.

[HELP] file access
I use Wine to run Stew, an Atari ST emulator, which
seems to be the successor of Winston0.5. I run it in
a 800x600 Wine Desktop, in managed=Y mode.
While using Stew, I can't access .ST files.
I "Insert Disk A:", then I choose the file in the
Wine file selector. I valid my choice and then: Wine
disapears (exit or crash...). I don't know if the
problem lies within Wine, Stew, or

[BUG] ddraw sur wine-20010510
I confirm the ddraw problem in wine-20010510.
I "downdated" yesterday:
$ patch -p0 -R < wine-20010510.diff
$ mv wine-20010510 wine-20010418
And reinstalled everything of course. Now Wine works
fine.
(So now it works again, I'll be able to follow
g.patel's proposition for my other problem: *.ST file
access within STew)

[HELP] mouse
Hi,
I'm Yves and I'm new to this list.
I use Wine as Win98 but without Windows, on a

I use Wine to run Stew, an Atari ST emulator, which

While USING Stew, the mouse behaves strangely: the ST
emulator runs inside the Wine Desktop in full screen

unknown symbol?
Hi!
Up to 20010418, I had no problem running Wine (the
win32 app is another matter).
I just updated to 20010510 and here's the result. I
execute:
wine --debugmsg fixme-all,warn-all -winver win98 --

Rep:Re: [HELP] file access
Hi!
A .ST file actually is a file representing an Atari
ST disk. As Atari used Dos format, I can do (if I
want):
mount /pathTo/file.st /pathTo/mntPoint -t msdos -o
loop
So Stew (the Atari emulator) actually does file
access, not disk access.
Still, I'll follow Mr Patel's suggestion, and try to
send the resulting file.
Yves.

using login_generator and the Cookbook tutorial
Hi All,
I''ve been fooling around with the login_generator and the rolling with
ruby on rails demo, but I''m jiggered if I can get the two to work
together.
I''ve managed to get everything installed ok, and have created the db
and tables, etc.
I''ve been using ruby script\generate login Recipe, and I can either
the get the basic tutorial to work, or get the

Finding/identifying a value within a factor

I'm trying to identify a particular digit or value within a vector of

only these). For example:

WinXP looking for *.dll share names?
Hi folks,
Over the last few weeks, one of our WinXP machines (of many) has
started generating errors like the following in our log files:
Jul 5 09:43:30 blah smbd[13180]: blah-xp (192.168.1.1) couldn't find
service sharename.dll
where "sharename" is a real share name that this user should be
mapping. We see lots of these errors, one for each share
the user tries to map. In

klibc 0.207 released
This changes the RPM spec file to have -devel and -utils packages; the
klibc main package is now only the runtime (plus libc.so and interp.o to
avoid version skew; someone who is better at RPM than I am might be able
to do the right thing with Requires and Provides to make sure there is a
100% binary match between files, using the hash code.)
I'd like to let this stew for a bit, to smoke

Permission errors when creating/reading files in users' mail directories
Hi folks,
I'm trying to migrate an old uw-imap server to dovecot,
and running into puzzling (to me) permission problems. I've
configured mail_location as follows:
mail_location = mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/spool/mail/%u
and each user's mail directory has permissions like this:
drwx------ 2 uid gid 4096 Jul 5 09:26 /home/uid/mail
But when I try to check a user's mail using

security=server, port 445 and winnt
Hi folks,
I'm running several samba servers that use "security=
server" and "password server" to point authentications to a
WinNT pdc. Snooping at the network traffic, I find that
the samba server initially tries to connect to the WinNT
server through port 445 (which fails), then reverts to 139
(which succeeds). I know it's possible to use the

DFS question
Was wondering if someone could tell me if this is correct. I want to
set up some DFS shares. I have 3 servers with SAMBA/LDAP on them. My
first is basically my PDC and the other two are my BDCs. I assume that
I will have to set all of this up on each server, so that no matter
which server catches the logon, the logon script will get run. Also, if
one of the servers was to go down for a

When to use BDD/TDD w/ external libraries
...rst Development is great...But should you use it when you are
adding classes/methods on to external library that doesn''t have an
extensive test suite? I noticed that the rspec plugin for autotest
has no specs.
David Chemlinsky said something to the list a while back that has
been stewing in my subconscious - that you develop software
differently using Test First Development/BDD. I noticed that it
would be very hard to add a spec library to autotest (I once
performed some code coverage on it and I believe it was at something
like 30 or 40 percent.). So if one wanted to dev...

Alpha Server 1000A 5/400 Centos 4.3 instal can not find the hard drives.
During the install of alpha Centos 4.3 I'm told by the Centos installer
that the hard drives can not be found.
Hard Drives have been properly configured in the ARC setup.
ARC initialization of the drives works fine. I can create windows nt

Went thru the list of drivers provided by Centos but the installer has
already loaded
the the QLogic and Mylex DAC960 controller drivers.
