Reformat meteorological data
...ar value value value and so on. I'd appreciate some code that would help accomplish this. Since I'm not an R expert, code that is somewhat transparent might be more helpful to me than the shortest possible option. Thank you. Status of flac; new release?
...1) If Josh is still active, he should be involved in this already now. 2) If he is not active, then he should be kindly asked to grant such access to a person he trusts; if he doesn't want to be active at all anymore, he should even grant that person admin rights, so that person can take over stewardship. 3) If he is not reachable at all anymore (i.e. no reply to emails after some weeks or so), then a support request should be filed with SF.net to take over the SF.net "flac" project... At least that's what I'd consider normal procedure, based on over a decade working in the OSS r...

puppetlabs nginx module
Just checking if anyone''s made an attempt to update the puppetlabs nginx module, or could point me to one they like. Last version in forge was uploaded in june of 2011, and while the github version is more recent (two months ago), it''s doesn''t seem quite together, given that the comments are disagreeing with the code at times. -- You received this message because

Sharing data between nodes with hiera
I have this, I think common, situation: - NodeDB VM with MySQL - NodeApp VM with an application that uses the MySQL DB Obivuously both needs to have information on the DB (like user, DB name, etc.) Since DB will be created in the NodeDB by the MySQL module from puppetlabs and the app will just connect to the DB and do its work, but need to set the configuration parameters. Now ... since App

Conversion from string to date type
Hi, I'm on my very first steps to R and so I hope that I do not ask a really stupid questions but I did not found it via R-Search, in the FAQ or Google (BTW, the name "R" is not a really good seekiong criterion ;-) ). I have a data file containing a table that containes dates and values like date\t value1\t value2, ... 01.03.2007\t 17\t 42\t ... 02.03.2007\t 2\t 3\t ...

Status of flac; new release?
Hi there, I was quite joyed to discover that at least this mailing list has activity, and that there is even an active git project for flac... because until then, I was firmly under the impression that flac is dead, and has been dead for years. Last website update 3 years ago, last release 5 years ago; tons of unfixed security and data corruption bugs, tons of not integrated patches on the

FreeBSD Security Survey
Dear FreeBSD users and system administrators, While the FreeBSD Security Team has traditionally been very good at investigating and responding to security issues in FreeBSD, this only solves half of the security problem: Unless users and administrators of FreeBSD systems apply the security patches provided, the advisories issued accomplish little beyond alerting potential attackers to the

Motherboard for home zfs/solaris file server
Hello, I am building a home file server and am looking for an ATX mother board that will be supported well with OpenSolaris (onboard SATA controller, network, graphics if any, audio, etc). I decided to go for Intel based boards (socket LGA 775) since it seems like power management is better supported with Intel processors and power efficiency is an important factor.
