ocfs2 + drbd primary/primary "No space left on device"
...left on device"
The non failing node is able to write/read from the filesystem. And the failing node is also able to delete/read from the filesystem
Ubuntu custom kernel 2.6.27.2
o2cb_ctl version 1.3.9
drbd 8.2.6
I saw similar problem reports last February, and there was advice to run "stat_sysdir.sh" script.
I'll attach the output here.
If anyone could help, I really need this setup no work rock-solid.

OCFS2 showing "No space left on device" on a device with free space
...nting the ocfs2
filesystem, doing a fsck followed by server reboot.

After restarting the servers I have executed the stat_sysdir.sh script,
the output of which is attached herwith. Kindly confirm whether I need
to do any changes to ocfs2 configuration , to avoid the above error.

No space left on device in one node
...little bit strange here??)
"fsck.ocfs2 -f" doesn't show any errors at all.
Neither are any (kernel) messages logged.
I think this is similar to bug #1167 (http://oss.oracle.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1167) so I updated the information there as well and attached the output of the ?stat_sysdir.sh? script running on the failing node.
Do you have any idea what goes wrong here?
Any workarounds?
Anything we can test to help debug this issue?
Thanks
Alex

When I run df -h to show available disk space It shows as follows
# df -h cfs
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/emcpowera1 67G 42G 26G 62% /d00/cfs
But actual usage is much less :-
# du -sh /d00/cfs
18G cfs
I have the output of stat_sysdir.sh if needed, but it is over 11,000
lines long.
I think this might be to do with inodes or something not being freed up
- but am not 100% sure?
Given I am stuck on Red Hat 4 until next year, I cant upgrade OCFS2 to
1.4.x where I think some of these problems are fixed?
Can you help me with sugges...

"no space left on device" related to directory limit
Hello,
We have a 3-node cluster setup with ocfs2.
Since friday one of the nodes went down and would not become clustermember after a reboot because it was unable to write to the ocfs2 filesystem. Message: no space left on device.
There is plenty of diskspace though.
No problem whatsoever to create a file / directory on the filesystem using one of the other nodes.
Today one of the remaining

df & du - that old chestnut
Afternoon,
We have an ocfs2 release 1.4 filesystem shared between two nodes
(RHEL5). The filesystem in question is used exclusively for Oracle RMAN
backups.
A df -h shows the following:

Filesystem Size Used Avail
Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/eva_mpio_myserver07_08_oracle_bkup0 250G

60% full and writes fail..
I have a setup with lot's of small files (Maildir), in 4 different
volumes and for some
reason the volumes are full when they reach 60% usage (as reported by
df ).
This was ofcourse a bit of a supprise for me .. lots of failed
writes, bounced messages
and very angry customers.
Has anybody on this list seen this before (not the angry customers ;-) ?

Extremely poor write performance, but read appears to be okay
Hello,
I'm writing from the otherside of the world from where my systems are,
so details are coming in slow. We have a 6TB OCFS2 volume across 20 or
so nodes all running OEL5.4 running ocfs2-1.4.4. The system has worked
fairly well for the last 6-8 months. Something has happened over the
last few weeks which has driven write performance nearly to a halt.
I'm not sure how to proceed, and

Tracking down hangs
...server show that it took some time to return the cat of an
unrelated file - usually the same amount of time it took to run the sync.
What's the best place to start looking for the cause of these hangs? I've
attached the dmesg output which includes some call traces for hung threads.
I have stat_sysdir output though I suspect it's not so relevant. A
scanlocks output doesn't reveal any busy locks that I can see (unless I'm
not hitting it at the right time or misreading the output).
For the DRBD replication there's a pair of bonded GBit NICs dedicated to
the job. The other two GBit...

systems hang when accessing parts of the OCFS2 file system
Hi everyone
Firstly, apologies for the cross post, I am not sure which list is most
appropriate for this question. I should also point out, that I did not
install OCFS2 and I am not the person that normally looks after these
kind of things, so please can you bear that in mind when you make any
suggestions (I will need a lot of detail!)
