Question
I need to obtain one variable in the dialplan containing the IP address that Asterisk is using, I mean, the originating IP for any calls coming out of Asterisk via SIP. Is this possible? F.Alves

Hi Friend, Can't get hostname environment variable on asterisk dialplan. Help me about how to get hostname environment variable on asterisk dialplan. I have written "export HOSTNAME" in /root/.bash_profile and when i execute "echo $HOSTNAME" then get right hostname but not success through asterisk dialplan. System() command refuses to execute bash script
Hi all I got this solved. Turns out the script WAS executing, but I forgot that apparently you need to follow "cron rules" in any BASH scripts executed via System() from an Asterisk dialplan. E. g. all paths must be fully and absolutely specified, there are no relative path references available. So I changed the the file wireless.sh which was: #!/bin/bash touch wireless-executed to
