imaptest10 and stalled messages
Greetings -
I've now got as far as playing with the imaptest10 test utility to
see if I can stress-test our development server. imaptest10 is built
against dovecot-1.0rc28
It may just be that I'm excessively heavy handed, but when I let
imaptest10 rip with the command...
./imaptest10 user=test%03d host=testserver.imap.york.ac.uk clients=50
mbox=./dovecot.mbox msgs=1000 secs=30

Benchmarking auth
Hello,
I'm attempting to use imaptest to test auths/sec on my imap server, to
simulate the number I'm getting now on a new server. Based on my
readings of dovecot stats outputs, my current machine is doing somewhere
between 11.6 and 196 logins/sec at its busiest, and I want to make sure
the new server can handle that amount.
With imaptest I attempt to simulate this by just simulating

Trying --merge-strings with today's trunk I got
* comment got 77 797 bytes smaller.
* rodata got 9 394 257 bytes smaller.
Comparing with gold, comment now has the same size and rodata is 55
021 bytes bigger.
Amusingly, merging strings seems to make lld a bit faster. With

EFI: HP + syslinux = crash
In another mail I discussed my adventures on netbooting syslinux 6.03
and newer from iPXE, either from an emulated rom on qemu/kvm/ovmf or by
chainloading via ipxe.efi onto a real HP Proliant DL360 gen9 piece of
iron. You might have asked yourself, why chainload? Why not load it
directly? Believe me, i tried.
First I had to 'fix' my dhcpd.conf because HP probably read the docs on

EFI/PXE boot on Oracle X5-2
Hello all,
I am seeing the same symptoms described here by Holger Baust on
5-Feb-2015. The only differences in our setups that I can see are
that Mr. Baust claimed to be using HP DL380p Gen9, whereas I'm on
an Oracle X5-2, and Mr. Baust claimed to be using vlan tagging,
while I am not.

Imaptest stall
Yes dovecot is showing the inserted messages until the stall. Looks like
it is an issue with imap test because I am able to empty the mailbox
again via thunderbird. I am comparing write tests to different backends.

domains gets stalled for N seconds
Hi,
we have a software accessing a lot of small files. We installed Xen 3.2 on a server with two quad core Xeons. We installed two
domains with our software on Linux and put it into production.
The problem is that I suspect that domains are not running at full (hardware) speed and they are getting stalled from time to time.
I can see a lot of wait in top and "top -d .5" gets stalled

umass0 problems, with Sony USB Memory Stick
Hi,
I'm installing a laptop for a friend of mine, and while most things work, the
Sony memory stick does not.
With respect to the HEADS UP of August 7th, I've also re-enabled the 2 Sony
memory sticks quirks, in sys/cam/scsi/da_scsi.c.
The symptoms also apply to 4.8-RELEASE:
umass0: Sony USB Memory Stick Slot, rev 1.10/1.80, addr 2
...
umass0: CBI reset failed, TIMEOUT

stalled loop
Hi,
The loop I wrote executes correctly but is stalled seriously. Is there a
way to hasten execution without coming up with a brand new algorithm ?
please help. Thanks.

Weird stalling of playback on IAX2 channels on 1.8 svn
I've hit an odd issue in a test 1.8 deployment,
playback() stalls mid file. The call stays up, but asterisk stops sending packets.
It doesn't always happen - but on demo-congrats it happens about half the time.
It only happens in IAX calls.
Anyone else experienced it ?
(I filed an issue just in case it isn't just me)

Restarting a stalled patch
Hello,
I was curious if there was any advice on how to get a code-review restarted/completed. The two I've submitted recently (D30107<https://reviews.llvm.org/D30107> D29923<https://reviews.llvm.org/D29923>) have gotten a bit of review but both then seem to stall. Any hints?
Thanks.

(CYGWIN) Rsync Stalling Upon first file transfer.
Rsync will recieve the file list, and discover the files to consider, and then stalls out on the first actual file transfered.
0 bytes 0kB/s. On the recieving server, the DLGDiagv504f.exe file is named .dlgdiagv504.f.exe.7dd0oa and is only 512 kb. The rsync process still runs after this, like it's in an idle mode.
It's not just this file, its been a number of different files.

HP Blade Gen 7 and 8 IO stall with ciss driver
hello
Since a while we're experiencing completely I/O stalls / stopps with
some HP Blade Hardware and FreeBDS 9.1. If it occurs, we have to power
cycle the server to recover.
The stalls occur only every few days to weeks, so it's difficult to
reproduce them; we also tried to do a lot of I/O (e.g. scrubbing
nonstop) but this didn't help to reproduce more often; taking load away
