Syslinux 6.03pre18 cannot boot kernel from btrfs
Hi
I keep trying syslinux on my testing machine with BIOS and btrfs on
root partition. I use syslinux 6.03pre18, kernel 3.15.4.
A number of btrfs related bugs has been fixed in syslinux 6.03
recently, but I still see one more. Syslinux stops booting my kernel
from btrfs partition. The partition itself is fine - I can mount it
from other kernel booted from USB. The partition superblock is fine,

Can't get Grub work on clone of machine
Hi.
I have cloned a RHEL 5.6 physical server over to a ESXi 5.0 Virtual Machine.
Using a live CD on the new Virtual Machine I created 3 partition /boot
(/dev/sda1), / (/dev/sda2) and swap (/dev/sda3), I then mounted the /
(sda2) partition and created the /boot directory and mount the boot
partition partition /dev/sda1 into /boot. I then used rsync to copy
the source machine over to the Virtual

Share of disks in read only between dom0 and domU.
Hello !
Because of a special config of my grub boot system, i try to export in a domU, in read
only mode, one of my disk partition mounted in the dom0 (in RW) and i don''t succeed
because xen refuse to export this disk partition in a domU.
extract of the conf :
disk = [ ''phy:/dev/sda,ioemu:hda,r'' , ''phy:/dev/sda6,ioemu:sda6,r]'' ,

hvm phy-disc doesnt boot (file-disc does) (debian dom0, SLES domU)
Hi,
we have a debian etch system running here and it works fine for hvms (winxp)
and paras (debian etchs).
Today i tried to do a SLES10SP2 setup as hvm (in the future it should run as
para). I used this config:
---------------
xenserver:/etc/xen# cat gp2backuptest.cfg
kernel = ''/usr/lib/xen-default/boot/hvmloader''
builder = ''hvm''

grub errors after fresh install, partiions with md and lvm
I've done a fresh install on a new system with 2 SATA drives, Seagate
80GB each. This is the first time I've done an installation where I
used software raid to provide mirroring capability to the system. The
raid is level 1 for mirroring. I used the installation documention on
RedHat's enterprise site to go thru the installation/configuration for
this. I didn't receive any
