stably updating the SD
Hi,
I have some summary data from which I know a few points and I'd like
to remove them. Does anyone know if there is an R module that
implements something like Hanson (1975)?

"CV" for log normal data
Hi, I have a microarray dataset from Agilent chips. The data were really log ratio between test samples and a universal reference RNA. Because of the nature of log ratios, coefficient of variation (CV) doesn't really apply to this kind of data due to the fact that mean of log ratio is very close to 0. What kind of measurements would people use to measure the dispersion so that I can compare

Icecast 2.5 release
Hello! I see that version 2.5 is still in beta2, with very interesting
features for me (like improved support for TLS). Does anyone know when it
will be launched stably? Any estimated date? Thank you.

Dom0 and Domu sharing a physical IRQ results in eventual crash
I have one xen machine where dom0 libata and pcibacked domU eth0 share a
physical IRQ. I thought that the disk was bad (cause the system was
crashing and giveing me disk errors) and replaced it with an IDE disk
connected to a pcibacked SATA-IDE combo card. Problem seems to have gone
away. The machine runs stably and hasn''t crashed yet.
Now I have another machine where I pciback usb.

Need ISDN call generator
Hi
To troubleshoot FreeBSD panics triggered by ISDN load on an asterisk system,
we are looking to buy an ISDN call generator/simulator device.
The minimum requirements include:
- Not too expensive
- PRI support (BRI support is a plus)
- CCS+CRC4 farming + HDB3 coding
- EuroISDN (DSS1) support.
- A minimum of 4 ports (120 channels/concurrent calls)
- Compatibility with Digium cards.
- DUT in TE

[LLVMdev] Any known-reliable numbering scheme for basic blocks?
Hi all,
Does anyone know of a good solution to the following? I'm trying to find a
good way to stably associate distinct ID numbers with different BB in a
module. As long as the module's IR hasn't changed in any way whatsoever,
I'd like to be guaranteed to always generate the same ID <--> BB mapping.
Or if the mapping is ambiguous, because two or more mappings between

Re: [nut-commits] svn commit r801 - in branches/megatec-usb: . drivers
Hi Alexander,
thanks for your good work on the megatec_usb driver. I have made a few
more (cosmetic) changes.
Is the driver now working stably for your device? In particular, do
the instant commands (and particularly "upsdrvctl -k") work properly?
In this case, we could hopefully mark the device as "supported" and
merge the driver to the main branch.

connecton reset by peer - socket problem
i set up a samba on redhat with a 192.168.x.x ip and and alias of a real
ip. on the lan i have win nt and win 2k with real ip that can access
the samba without difficulty, but when the win 98/me workstations, with
192.168.x.x ip's, try to connect to the samba, it would be either very
slow, or saying that the lan is busy, or cannot connect at all. then,
in the samba, i'll see the log

Time ISR: Time went backwards: ... (dom0)
Hello,
I have recently finally gotten xen working on a Dual Core Althlon64
4200, 4GB RAM, 3ware 9500 4x160GB SATA RAID 10, but after compiling xen
with 3ware support, xen does start up but i get many (to many to even
access the console) of these errors:
Time ISR: Time went backwards: -xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxx xxxxxxxxx
where the x''s are replaced with different numbers each time.

Hey everyone, I'm trying version 1.0rc2, via the rpm at ATrpms. I'm running on CentOS
4.3 on an Opteron system. I have this running stably on a 32 bit system, but I'm
crashing constantly on a 64 bit system.
Here's what I'm getting in my mail logs when I try to log in via IMAP:

MacBook Pro Yonah (Intel Core Duo)
Dear all;
Has anyone tried the new CPU (codename Yonah) produced by Apple? I heard
from the engineer of Apple that MacBook Pro is already reachable, although
it is not distributed to the public until February. If anyone has some
information, I would like to buy it to enlarge the frontier.

Dynamic Link Aggregation via Samba
Hi,
I have run into the following I bonded 6 NICs on my Cent OS server into
a 600MB pipe. I use bond method 4 = dynamic Link aggregation. My Cysco
Switch supports this apparently.
However I only get increased bandwidth from my MAC by connecting via
AFP. However when I connect via SMB I don't. I was told to change the
sockect options to the following on my smb.conf file on my fileserver:

Yes, for example, as explained by Bjarne once, incompatible name
mangling schemes for ABIs that are not guaranteed to be 100% binary
compatible is a _feature_, not a bug, since it prevents anyone from
even beginning to develop a workflow that relies upon linking

[PATCH 0/12] Add S3 support to Xen
Hi, all,
Attached patch set is the first support to S3 (suspend to ram)
on
Xen environment. We know that 3.0.5 is feature freeze now, and thus
this version is just for trial and review first.
X86-64 is to go (failed to compile), but we have a preliminary
support in house which is however on an old version and not very
stable yet. It''s supposed to be out with next version.

Hype The Time Quest Regression
There's an old Ubisoft game called "Hype the Time Quest".
For many Wine versions, Wine could not get past the Hype installer. It would go up to 117% and fail. Then a version came where if you unchecked the DirectX check, the install would work (or maybe that's all you had to do to begin with). But the game would fail to start with an error about MaiD3Dvr_bleu.exe. Then a Wine
