HW issue during instalaltion
Hi All,
I have a shuttle SN78SH7 with a Seagate ST31500341AS (1.5Tb) drive. With
windows Vista it sees the drive and can install to it. So far with GRML
or CentOS5.2 they do not seem to be able to see this drive. Is there a
particular setting I need or does CentOS not support installation to
these drives yet ?
Thanks for your help
Phil

Unfortunately I'm still waiting for the 7 x Seagate 1.5 Tb drives
ST31500341AS drives to arrive so at the moment it's just sitting there
looking all hot and pretty.
Although I'm using it for my personal home use i'm sure it will be right
at home in a SME without the high pricepoints for a Pillar or similar
NAS solution.
If you are looking for a solid NAS and tho...

Best 1.5TB drives for consumer RAID?
Which consumer-priced 1.5TB drives do people currently recommend?
I had zero read/write/checksum errors so far in 2 years with my trusty old Western Digital WD7500AAKS drives, but now I want to upgrade to a new set of drives that are big, reliable and cheap.
As of Jan 2010 it seems the price sweet spot is the 1.5TB drives.
As I had a lot of success with Western Digital drives I thought I would
