what i am proposing is the introduction of a "Samba Software
Foundation", which would be modelled on the well-known "Apache
Software Foundation"'s charter.
to kick-start that process - to bring some incentive to carrying
it forward, what i propose to do is: if the SSF is set up in
line with the way i envisage here, i promise to assign all
samba-related code that i have ever written _to_ the SSF -
with some conditions that will be aimed at protecting YOU -
the samba community - not me, as i will point out later.

Installing Centos 5 on one system and moving the HD to another....
I have a bug report in (0002288) on an install failure on my decTOPs
(Centos 4.5 installed on them).
I have tried a lot of combinations and it is getting tiring.
What what happen, or rather how do I get the following to work:
Put my HD into a computer (Compaq SSF that I have installed Centos 5 on
with no trouble), install Centos 5, move the HD to the decTOP.
Different Video card.
No PS/2 keyboard of mouse on the decTOP
INTEL vs AMD cpu
Could it work?

Trouble with PDC setup using Samba 3.0.23 and OpenLDAP

Fwd: Migrating server
Hi Gruss,
At this stage there is only one server, running 3.6.25 on Ubuntu12.04. The
plan to get LDAP to work on this one. Then add the second server 4.x and
the promote it to BDC and then demote this one. Just a side info, we
didn't want to go tdbsam in both as I read it breaks the domain trust.
The domain names are real ones.
I ran the commands you suggested, nothing in reply. I tried
