Wrong size on a domU partition
Hi.
I need more space on my domU server, so i create a file image to attach it
to the domU. But when i load that image in the domU, show a size very
different to the create.
I create the file with this command
dd if=/dev/zero of=/xen/domains/SRV03/opt-disk.img bs=1024k seek=30720
count=30720
(The idea is create an image disk with 30GB, but when i check the disk on
the domU show 64GB.)
attach the image to the domU
xm block-attach SRV03 tap:aio:/xen/domains/SRV03/opt-disk.img sdb1 w
so i access to domU and create the filesystem.

Domain membership
I wrote a message a couple of days ago asking about Samba and SMB protocol
levels on an old industrial robot with a pre-2010 Samba. That was resolved
successfully. I now have another question concerning the same systems (the
robots and the new Samba server, HP-SRV03).

NT1 protocol question
...er for the
legacy NT1 protocol due to a couple of old industrial systems that do not
support SMB2/3.
I noticed this today from the Samba server, probably doesnt mean anything
but I still would like to ask the group. The server is of course joined to
a domain and operates as it should.
sysman at hp-srv03:~$ *net domain testjoin -U administrator*
Enter administrator's password:
Enumerating domains:
Domain name Server name of Browse Master

*smb1cli_req_writev_submit: called for dialect[SMB3_11] server[127.0.0.1]*
Cheers

Transparent proxy with LVS

Here is the script I wrote to configure transparent proxy.

File timestamp issue
...ently.
When I look at the timestamps on Windows and Linux/Ext4, they look
identical, down to the second.
The command used is ROBOCOPY SOURCE TARGET /MIR /NDL /NFL /NP /COPYALL
So, is there a Robocopy guru out there that can advise us?

Need help with roaming profiles
...? dos filemode = Yes
??????? hide unreadable = Yes
You should also remove this, it should only be in a DC smb.conf:
??????? idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes
Now we come to what could be a couple of typo's:
You have 'netbios name = HP-FSSRV' but you also posted
'administrator at hp-srv03:~$ cd /share2/'
The 'netbios name' must be the same as the hostname.
You also seem to be using 'administrator' as a Unix user, please do not
do this, I know this happens with the 'rid' backend, but in this
instance Administrator will just be a normal Unix user. You a...
