Clients can't write to group-writable files - plea for help
...a under Ubuntu server > behaves correctly in the same AD/NFS environment. > > I've found another RHEL6 server here that's not showing the problem, so > I'm going to try to diff the 2 boxes and see what's up. > > -Josh > I've tracked the problem down to some squirrely magic in username mapping. I don't understand it, but the other server had a username map script that just returns the same thing it was called with 99% of the time. If I use that script instead of my empty usermap.cfg file, things work properly. If i leave out the map entirely (no script,...

Does Berkeley DB and Rails seem like a good match?
I''ve been reading up on Berkeley DB and I''ve been refelcting on the Rails philosophy and it just seemed to me like the two should go together hand in glove. Rails seeks to abstract the programer from squirrely database coding which is great. My only problem is that you''re still left with a large component, namely the databsase server (MySQL, PostgreSQL..etc) which is treated like a black box...these databases are hugely complex and maybe shouldn''t be treated like blck boxes, maybe...

Call history problems from B2BUA

I assume the same would be true of any B2BUA. There are two flavors...

So now I start the server with: apachectl start And it runs without SSL. My question is, is

echo problem
I have searched for how to locate echo cancelation on SIP clients, but cant find anything and echocancel=y doesnt seem to have any effect. Configuration: CVS-HEAD from last month iPAQ h5500 with SJPhone (gsm/ulaw/alaw) Problem description: When I place or receive a call I hear a faint delayed echo of myself. The other party hears a really bad nonmuted echo that makes the call unusable. Aside
