Problem with trafic shapping and openvpn
I''m using shorewall with openvpn and traffic shaping at all of our offices. I have noticed for a while that occasionally ping times are excessive. Usually this is during overnight off site backups but some times during the day. I have assumed the is was an ISP issue but now I''m suspecting it''s problem with openvpn and traffic shaping. In the test case have 2 sites

Sprint Vision Phones ReadyLink=SIP?
I was playing with a Sprint Vision phone recently and noticed when viewing the low level ReadyLink configuration screens that there are references to SIP registrars and the like. Does anyone happen to know if Sprint's implementation of ReadyLink truly is SIP based, and if so, managed to get it to interoperate with Asterisk. If so, it would prove to be an interesting paging mechanism and

Sprint Nextel sueing over VoIP patents
Sprint Nextel is sueing vonage, voiceglo and theglobe.com for infringing on VoIP patents. Sprint Nextel claims to have about 100 patents on VoIP technologies. Does anyone know which ones this article is talking about, and if so does asterisk have any of those features? The reason I am asking is that the article is vague, Vonage uses a fairly standard codec set, I dont know about the others.

[LLVMdev] LLVM sprint RFC
Hi all, I'd like to coordinate a LLVM sprint at Google in Mountain View. I discussed this with Chris at the LLVM developers day, but didn't get around to figuring out the logistics until now. I'm emailing here to take a survey of what works best for people: 1. Pick all that work for you: weekdays, weekends, evenings. 2. Pick a time frame that you like best: October, early December,

CallerID not passed to Sprint & Verizon Cellphones via XO PRI
Hi, I have an odd problem where when a call is made to any landline phone the callerid number shows up on the caller id device with no problems. However when I call a cell phone from Sprint or Verizon it always shows up as unavaliable. I've tried multiple cell phones from each carrier. Though today I called a t-mobile phone and the callerid came through fine. Is this an * level problem

OT: Samsung Sprint CDMAoIP
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphones/sprintsamsung-instant-cell+to+wi+fi-box-is-official-named-airave-300451.php The above is quite interesting, it would be interesting to see if it uses sip, which I have no reason to believe otherwise, and if it does, can it be hacked to talk to Asteirsk? In which case one could have a very good extension to asterisk using any Sprint Cell phone, or maybe even

Sprint PCS -> Asterisk through Digium TDM400P
Does anyone have trouble with dialing in to an Asterisk Server and having the DTMF digits recognized? We have some clients who are calling in with cell phones, notably those with SprintPCS service, who's DTMF is just never recognized. I have tried relax_dtmf on and off, with no improvement. My rxgain is currently set to 3. Can anyone suggest possible solutions? Incoming calls are
