Sorting a data frame by specifying a vector
Hello all,
I cannot seem to figure out this seemingly simple procedure.
I want to sort a data frame by a specified character vector.
So for :
df.. <- data.frame(Season=rep(c("Summer","Fall","Winter","Spring"),4),Obs=
runif(length(rep(c("Summer","Fall","Winter","Spring"),4))))
I want to sort the data frame by the seasons but in the order I specify
since alphapetically would not put the season in sequential order
I tried the following and a few other things...

Mandriva Spring 2007 and R
I am new to Linux (not to R) and recently installed Mandriva Spring 2007 on my partitioned hard drive. My next objective is to install R in the Linux environment, unfortunately Mandriva is not one of the Linux distributions available for download... Could someone please let me know which distribution I should use?
Thanks.

Acts_as_authenticated
Hello
I have been trying a number of security/login generators recently. My
favourite so far is the Acts_as_authenticated. I like the fact that it
is only billed as a starting point and doesn''t try to do everything.
I would like to add security roles to it, so that some of my controller
actions can only be used by an admin role. Has anybody implemented this

Model ranking (AICc, BIC, QIC) with coxme regression
Hi,
I'm actually trying to rank a set of candidate models with an information criterion (AICc, QIC, BIC). The problem I have is that I use mixed-effect cox regression only available with the package {coxme} (see the example below).
#Model1
>spring.cox <- coxme (Surv(start, stop, Real_rand) ~ strata(Paired)+R4+R3+R2+(R3|Individual), spring)
I've already found some explications in this forum to adjust QIC on coxph object (see the following lines, thanks to M. Basille), but it doesn't work on coxme...

plotting gamm results in lattice
Hi Maria
If you have problems just start with a small model with predictions and then plot with xyplot
the same applies to xyplot
Try
library(gamm4)
spring <- dget(file = "G:/1/example.txt")
str(spring)

Solution i think of.
