Samba spoolfile name
L.S.
Situation:
I am running Samba 2.2.7a as my DPC in a small business network with win98/ME clients.
A big Fiery printer/scanner/copier device is also part of this network. It has its own printserver.
Since Win98/ME can not print to an LPD queue directly, I have setup Samba to spool the printjobs send by the clients to the Fiery server.
All is working well, but there is a small problem.

Dial out from AGI and then connect it to another dialled out call
...rs with respects to getting useful results from CDRs.
It works by a spool call file triggering a Local extension, that extension
then does the first dial to a client. I dial to a local context from the
spool file as I need proper return codes as in ${DIALSTATUS} which are not
available from the spoolfile (even using the failed priority trick). They
then get some IVR prompts followed by being connected to another dialled
number.
Dialplan wise I do this with two contexts... the first being the one that
the local dial in the spoolfile calls, it does various bits of set up, sets
a few variables s...

Asterisk & fax-out
I want to setup a phone system that can allow the caller to type in a faxback number, and automatically be sent a fax file. Is this possible with Asterisk? Or using Asterisk & a Linux fax program? I've seen stuff about incoming faxes, but nothing about outgoing. This is over a Zap channel, not IP, btw.
Thanks.

Printing woes
Hi,
I've been using Samba for a while, and I'm now running all network
printing here from Samba. However, while printing itself works fine, my
users can neither view the print queue, nor delete jobs from it, and
this is beginning to get annoying. I'm using LPRng to do all the
printing. All the clients are NT4 workstations. Here's some selected
bits of /etc/smb.conf and

Always 'new mail' false notifications?
...iar to anyone ?
All I can think of, is that something is happening with modification
timestamps of my mailboxes which signals the new mail flag, but I don't
know what causes it.
A small description of my setup:
One server running dovecot. I access mail locally via IMAP, but can also
access the spoolfiles and mailfolders directly. I'm the only one with
shell access.
Procmail filters mail and delivers it to my mailfolders in ~/Mail.
Any ideas ?

Dovecot namespace solved while writing; preparing to refilter
Hi!
My plea to readers:
===================
Pls., people who only want strictly technical issues to read, and frown
at any
broader context regardless how intrinsically related, but not strictly
technically related, it might be, skip all the way, all the way to,
search for
exact words: "strictly technical" or visually, find two lines of sole
"==="
characters. Thank you!
