This is with the Mail.app preference for "IMAP Path Prefix" set to null. mutt just seems plain confused. So I removed all .imap.* and let dovecot redo it's stuff. No go. Hope someone can help me with this as I am presently stuck I am setting up a new server with Dovecot 0.99.10, Redhat 9.0, Postfix, Amavisd-new and maildir's in the users home drive.
