splitting character vectors into multiple vectors using strsplit
Hi folks,
Suppose I create the character vector charvec by
> charvec<-c("a1.b1","a2.b2")
> charvec
[1] "a1.b1" "a2.b2"
and then I use strsplit on charvec as follows:
> splitlist<-strsplit(charvec,split=".",fixed=TRUE)
> splitlist
[[1]]
[1] "a1" "b1"
[[2]]
[1] "a2" "b2"

[LLVMdev] DAG type Legalizer bug?
...(SDNode*N, unsigned ResNo, SDValue& Lo, SDValue& Hi) {
SDValue Op = DisintegrateMERGE_VALUES(N, ResNo);
GetSplitOp(Op, Lo, Hi);
}
DisintegrateMERGE_VALUE() returns SDValue(N, ResNo), where N is the MERGE_VALUE node itself.
Then GetSplitOp() tries to retrieve split result for N from the SplitVectors cache and hit assert because split result is for N is not in the cache yet.
Seems to me that DisintegrateMERGE_VALUES() should return the corresponding operand for the given ResNo, not the defined value.
Please confirm if it's a bug, or if I'm missing something.
Thanks,
Xiaoyi

Legalizing vector types
Hi all,
I am working on a target that has support for v4i16 vectors, and no
support for v4i8 / v8i8 / v8i16
V4i8 is promoted to v4i16 which is nice
V8i16 is split to 2 x v4i16 which is nice as well
Now v8i8 is scalarized, which is not so nice.
Ideally I would like v8i8 to be first promoted to v8i16 then split to
2xv4i16 (or split to 2xV4i8 then promoted to 2xv4i16)
Is there a way to achieve
