[Patches]mesa/nv30: Diverse set of patches that improve NV3x render quality
For all these patches I'd say: testers are welcome. The first three patches seem good enough to push as we speak IMHO (so if you agree, go ahead!), whereas for the fourth I don't know if this is the desired way to fix. The result of these four patches is that NV34 gives a nearly-correct desktop experience, where only some fading animations appear broken. It's quite useable now!

[Patches] mesa/nv30: Diverse set of patches that improve NV3x render quality V2
A reworked version of 3 out of 4 patches mentioned earlier.
[1/4]: Fixes nearly all piglit vertprog testcases, due to now being able to pass the results on to the fragment shader. V2: rename samplers to texcoords.
[2/4]: Fixes shader compiler assertion errors, as some source registers do not exist for certain operations. Fixes several piglit tests when mesa is compiled with --enable-debug

[PATCH 4/8] fb/ramnve0: Disable FB before reclocking
This should probably be folded into the previous patch to avoid
breaking bisectability on nve0

PM + Init work
Following a series of three patches, two of which have been sitting in my tree
for a while, the third is the result of some inspection of an NV134 BIOS that
seems to use the 0xaf upcode to upload training patterns. Please test!

RESEND Preparations for Fermi DRAM clock changes
Two patches went missing as a result of PEBCAK. No v2 marks as nothing
changed really. Just resending for easier enforcement of patch order
in other people's trees. Sorry for the noise.
Original message:
No, no, these will not implement Fermi reclocking. This set of patches
contains some of the preparatory work that I deem stable enough to
move upstream. Notable changes

[PATCH] drm/nvc0/fb: fix crash when different mutex is used to protect same list
...its own fb_vram_del function, using nv50_fb_vram_del instead.
Because of this, on nvc0 a different mutex ends up being used to protect
additions and deletions to the same list.
This patch is a -stable candidate for 3.7.

Preparations for Fermi DRAM clock changes
No, no, these will not implement Fermi reclocking. This set of patches
contains some of the preparatory work that I deem stable enough to
move upstream. Notable changes
- Training pattern upload routines from GK104+ now shared with GT215+
- Timing calculation for Fermi
- GDDR5 MR calculation from VBIOS timing table v1.0. Also useful for that
pesky GT 240.
- A routine to translate a VBIOS init

MEMX improvements + DDR 2/3 MR generation
Patch 1 and 2 implement wait-for-vblank, required to remove flicker when reclocking memory
Patch 3 and 4 allow me to do things between waiting for VBLANK and disabling FB, like pause PFIFO and wait for the engines to idle. This minimises the time PFIFO is paused, thus maximises performance.
The rest of the patches speak for themselves. As the actual memory reclocking script is still somewhat prone

enabled, and disable test logic when done (presumably to save power).

[PATCH v2 1/2] drm/nouveau/fb/nv50: Add PFB writes
(This is a v2 of patch "drm/nouveau/disp/nv50: Add PFB writes")
This fix a GPU lockup on 9400M (NVAC) when using acceleration, see
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27501
v2:
- Move code to subdev/fb/nv50.c as suggested by Roy Spliet;
- Remove arbitrary writes to 100c18/100c24 as suggested by Roy Spliet;
- Replace write to 100c1c of arbitrary value by the address of a scratch page
as proposed by Ilia Mirkin;
- Remove enabling of bits 16 and 0 as they don't yield in any changes.

If you insist I could elaborate a little further. However, documenting
what a short opcode is seems a bit superfluous.

NVA3 clock tree improvements
Following a series of patches to improve nouveaus clock tree parsing. Reclocking these engines (all but memory) is pretty stable on the cards I've tested. Please review and merge when approved.
These patches do not solve the problem that core/shader engine doesn't like to be clocked up too far without fb following, with visible corruption as a result. I suspect this problem is unrelated

[PATCH 1/2] nv50/ir: Add support for MAD short+IMM notation
...urate flags for MAD 4-byte opcodes,
and get rid of constraints. Short MAD has a very specific SDST == SSRC2
requirement, and since MAD IMM is short notation + 4-byte immediate, don't
have the compiler create MAD IMM instructions yet.
