SPITS 0.0.9b
Hello list, I''ve been using linux and open source software for over 5 years now and I want to give something back to the community. I''m working on a PHP-based project (SPITS). The aim of this project is to easly create a shaping script, using a web interface, without needing to know tc and iptables command line options. As the project is now in beta stage, soon a CSS

In mail log the postfix is spitting out: "?fatal: no SASL

Help in Customising NLS function to spit out Mean and SD of the new fit!!!
Hi all, I'm trying to customize the nls function code to spit out the sd and mean of the new fit. All it gives me are the fitted values. THis function seems to work fine for my project otherwise. All i need is the SD and MEAN. Can someone help me to customise. I frankly did not understand the nls code at all. I have 10 x and 10 y values from a histogram. I need to use nls to do the best fit

[LLVMdev] Cloning Functions
I seem to recall havbing asked this before but I can't find it by searching. What's the right way to clone a Function? I need to save off the text at a certain point and spit it out later, after other optimizations have run. But I need to spit out the original text, not the optimized version. What would be the most effective way to do this?

Help in customising the NLS function to spit out mean and SD ofnew fit!!
Doesn't look like nonparametric fit to me, since nls() is used to fit to a gaussian density, so the result is a gaussian density (with estimated parameter). What I do not understand is why people would do this. This is not the first time I've seen people doing this, on both R-help and S-news (if my memory is still any good). If the objective is to fit a Gaussian distribution to the

Help in customising the NLS function to spit out mean and SD of new fit!!
i'm coding in R(first time) for a paper my colleague is publishing. i plotted a histogram for 6000 values. Taking the mean and sd of the midpoints i did a dnorm and got the densities. pl<-dnorm(trimmedvals,mean=midsmean,sd=midsSD) (now in a loop of 5 times) i plotted these experimental values against theoretical values using the nls function the following way.

mailbox utilities
Hello, Are there any utilities that will spit out statistics about some mailboxes I have on my server? For example, how many messages are in each mailbox? They appear to be in mbox format (default?). Thanks!

gtk-window-decorator Wnck warnings
...is one: (gtk-window-decorator:8442): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type (nil) Does anyone else see these warnings or know what causes these? Also, it seems that this "lost textures" bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10789 usually happens only when these warnings are spitted out, so the bug is probably related to these wnck warnings. So I'd appreciate any insight on these warnings (as I am trying to find the source of the "lost textures" bug). Regards, Erkin

Feature Request: Invalid sshd port fallback
I would like to suggest adding a fallback in the event that somehow the sshd_config port number is invalid. Example: Port != (1<= or >=65535) By default fall by to port 22, and spit out an error. Same would go for if the new port is already in use, fall back to port 22 and spit out an error. Why is this a good idea? Would be a good idea because people are human and make mistakes, and you

Constant Wine Crash
So I have a Radeon 4870 and wine 1.1.22. The only game I really play is Warcraft 3, and the constant crashing is getting annoying. While the game is running terminal spits out a million of these: fixme:imm:ImmGetOpenStatus (0x6ba120): semi-stub Then when it finally crashes terminal says: err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x7d1e1dd4 Ive reinstalled my

Printing: Access denied, unable to connect
I have been having a printing problem recently on a setup that has worked for quite some time. Configs below. The symtoms are slightly different on a W2K and a WinME workstation, but the result is the same; no printed output. However, when I print from the local Unix server or from any other Unix server in the network the output is as expected. The W2K machine reports 'Access denied,

performing script on multiple files
say that I have a script that uses read.csv to read a textfile in a certain directory, then transforming the data a bit and then spit out a new file in an output directory. Is it possible to make this universal so the same procedure is made for all files in a certain directory and also make it spit out files that changes names for each file that is made (so the same output.csv is not

Ubuntu: World of Warcraft 3.3.5a OpenGL and Intel GMA issue
ok, I'll get straight to the point: I'm trying to run World of Warcraft (Version 3.3.5 Build 12340) and I have an Intel GMA 4500MHD Integrated chipset, and I can login just fine, but when it tries to render a character, it crashes and spits out an error via the WowError.exe, and if I don't use OpenGL, it can play, but the FPS will spike horribly at random times, and all player

Subtracting elements of a vector from each other stepwise
I am trying to figure out how to create a loop that will take the difference of each member of a vector from each other and also spit out which one has the least difference. I do not want the vector member to subtract from itself or it must be able to disregard the 0 obtained from subtracting from itself. For example: x = c(17,19,23,29) 1. abs(x-x[1]) = (0, 2, 6, 12) 2. abs(x-x[2]) = (2, 0,

Wine dummy-spitting
I've got a real problem with the debian (unstable) wine 0.0.200202228-1 Whenever I try to run a windows executable - of any sort, although it's Jeskola Buzz in the example I've attached - wine cheerfully spits the dummy. I realise that the DRIVE_Init warnings are ignorable, but #warn:dosfs:DOSFS_FindUnixName 'config\system' not found in ... #warn:dosfs:DOSFS_FindUnixName
