[PATCH] btrfs: commit transaction after deleting a subvolume
Alex pointed out the consequences after a transaction is not committed when a subvolume is deleted, so in case of a crash before an actual commit happens will let the subvolume reappear. Original post: http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-btrfs/msg22088.html Josef''s objections: http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-btrfs/msg22256.html While there''s no need to do a full commit for regular files, a subvolume may get a different treatment. http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-btrfs/msg23087.html: "...

mdadm: hot remove failed for /dev/sdg: Device or resource busy
...ev/sdg faulty in /dev/md127 # mdadm /dev/md127 --remove /dev/sdg mdadm: hot remove failed for /dev/sdg: Device or resource busy And in dmesg, I get an error like so: md: cannot remove active disk sdg from md127 ... More details, including mdadm -D output and other diagnostics, are at http://www.spinics.net/lists/raid/msg41928.html . As I note there, the array seems fine otherwise, but is not currently in active use (so perhaps my options are greater than if I wished to keep it deployed). As the other messages in that thread show, I think I've already done the ''obvious'' step...

Lotus notes 6 on Mandrake Linux
Hi, I am trying to run Notes on Mandrake linux 10 official with wine version 20040914. I have notes installed in my C driver winXP(NTFS). No success so I went to google. I saw this mail at http://www.spinics.net/lists/wine/msg15484.html saying that on coppying the entire notes folder to fake_windows wine works like charm. However, when i tried the same I get a password prompt I enter my password then I get an error PANIC: LookupHandle: null handle I have installed the rpm for mandrake and it created n...

New PTR records not visible
.... Until recently, we also used that to create reverse records. However, with the change from 4.10 to 4.11, it started to create some records in the wrong reverse zones, so I have disabled the part of the script that creates reverse records... Could this be related to this thread here? https://www.spinics.net/lists/samba/msg162253.html Thanks for any insights, Christian

Status of reverted Linux patch "tty: Fix ldisc crash on reopened tty", Linux 4.9 kernel frequent crashes
...an confirmed if he applies the patch from 71472fa9c52b1da27663c275d416d8654b905f05 to his Linux 4.9 LTS kernel the bug/problem goes away, so the patch (or similar fix) is still needed, at least for 4.9 LTS kernel. Mikulas reported he's able to trigger the same crash on Linux 4.10: https://www.spinics.net/lists/kernel/msg2440637.html https://lists.gt.net/linux/kernel/2664604?search_string=ldisc%20reopened;#2664604 Michael Neuling reported he's able to trigger the bug on PowerPC: https://lkml.org/lkml/2017/3/10/1582 So now the question is.. is anyone currently working on getting this patch...

Updated btrfs-next
Hello, I just updated and pushed btrfs-next, if it is missing something let me know. I had to kick out the printk formatting patch because it didn''t compile and I didn''t take Miao''s background enospc flushing stuff since some of it didn''t apply and 5/5 hasn''t been updated to force waiting on background flushers. Let me know if I missed anything
