[LLVMdev] Taking over work on CodeExtractor, spiffing it up, and making it nice & easy to use
Dear Chandler,
> Please let me know if you have out-of-tree users of this logic
At KernelGen we have an out-of-tree variation of CodeExractor called
BranchedCodeExractor [1], which instead of taking a code region into a new
function, does it conditionally:
ORIGINAL_CODE;
->>
if (extracted_code_function(args) != -1)
{
ORIGINAL_CODE;
}
I think many hybrid and parallelizing tools

OK... as this is an out-of-tree branch of the code extraction, nothing I'm
planning should negatively impact

[LLVMdev] Taking over work on CodeExtractor, spiffing it up, and making it nice & easy to use
Hello folks,
Just as a heads up, I chatted with Owen today about a little known bit of
LLVM: lib/Transforms/Utils/CodeExtractor.cpp
A toy project of mine has a use for this functionality, and it still seems
to mostly work, so I'm going to be spending some time doing cleanup and
general maintenance on the code to make it easier and more suitable for
consumption by actual optimization passes.

Maildir from offlineimap, INBOX folder created
...flineimap. The layout is typical (as far as I know) of maildirs, with
the root folder having cur, tmp, new, and subfolders being a folder
within the root folder. Since I'd previously used Evolution to access
this maildir, my subfolders were actual subfolders (separator /).
Anyway, it all works spiffingly well, except that I can't see my inbox
at all. What happens is that attempting to subscribe to Inbox will
create an INBOX folder in the root folder, which is (of course) empty,
so I see an empty folder.
For completeness, my dovecot -n...

productivity tools in R?
Hi all,
Could anybody point me to some latest productivity tools in R? I am
interested in speeding up my R programming and improving my efficiency
in terms of debugging and developing R programs.
I saw my friend has a R Console window which has automatic syntax
reminder when he types in the first a few letters of R command. And
he's using R under MAC. Is that a MAC thing, or I could do the

Status of Windows Theora builds
Hi all,
Just a heads up to let you know that I've fixed up the Visual C++
project files so that libtheora and the associated experimental programs
(dumpvid/encoderwin/splayer/transcoder) builds on Windows again. I also
have good news and good news.
The bad news is: experimental\splayer doesn't work. It compiles, but
segfaults immediately when you try to play any Ogg file. The bug

LLVM Status Update
Hey everyone,
It's been way too long since the last status update. Since that last
edition, we've gone through the 1.0 release, fixed a ton of bugs, and
implemented some neat new things. Since many people are using the 1.0
release, I'll break the changes into "before 1.0" and "after 1.0"
sections:
Before 1.0:
