CRAN mirror for Taipeh vs Taipei
Hi,
I am residing in Taipei, Taiwan. My windows has English R (2.7.2)
installed. I noticed that the CRAN mirror for Taipei is Taiwan
(Taipeh), Is Taipeh a Deutsch or English name?
Thanks,

apache 2.4.10 error on centos 5.7
Hey guys,
I realize this release is a little old. But I'm hoping to get some help
with this anyway if that's cool.
This is my employer's box and I don't have the option of upgrading it.
I installed apr 1.5.1 and apr-util 1.5.4. Then downloaded the source for
apache 2.4.10 for a project that I'm working on.
I gave these configure flags along with make and install

R-beta: feedback R-0.62.2
Some observations as feedback on minor points that I came across
while enjoying [R-0.62.2]:
1. par(bty="n"): sometimes (depending on data) points appear to
"spill out" of the plot using default xlim and ylim values (are default
axes a bit too short?)
2. points(x,y,pch="c") allows points to plot outside existing plot
box (an interesting feature, but may be a bug?);

Niels,
What is the reason for 'fixing' this? Constructions like these are used in

Mouse Cursor drifts in some directx games
Hello,
I am currently attempting to run some windows games through wine, specifically Fable - The Lost Chapters and The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind and I am experiencing problems with my cursor drifting during game play.
When I start the game (as soon as the menu screen) the mouse is initially stable, but after I move the mouse it will begin to drift vertically down at a constant speed

[slightly offtopic] A small, fast Apache2.2 (if there is such a thing)
Hi.
I''m using Apache2.2 built from source + mod-proxy + ssl + svn.
Everything works fine but I''m sure you I could disable a ton of
modules during the build process and in httpd.conf to speed things up
and run a tighter memory footprint.
Has anyone bothered building Apache2.2 from source disabling all the
unneeded modules.
I am planning on going through the Apache docs but I

Stability of Rails
I''ve seen a lot of issue regarding the stability of Rails apps. I''m
charged with investigation of Rails for my company and I''ve looked at
numerous fourms, groups, etc. (Textdrive, here, etc.) and it *seems*
like there is a stability problem with Rails (ie: crashes, etc.) Is
this as common as it looks, or is this tied to things like Lighttpd (web
server) or Typo
