how to combine presence only data sets to one presence/absence table
Problem: I have a Set of samples each with a list of observed species
(presence only).
Data is stored in a excel spreadsheet and the columns (spl) have
different numbers of observations (spcs).
Now I want to organize the data in a species by sample matrix with
presence/absence style in R.
data style (in excel):

Large number of prefixes in a route to a trunk

In the interest of maximizing use of the lines, I'm putting together a dial
plan that includes PCS-to-PCS/Nextel calling for the Sprint trunk.
Essentially, the PBX would look like a cell phone to the PCS cloud. Total
merged NPA-NXX list for SPCS I come up with is around 7,600 prefixes. Since
our parent has offices strung out all over the US and is standardizing on
SPCS, it makes sense to try and leverage as many PCS-to-PCS calls as we can.
Alltel comes in at around 1940 prefixes.

The first data frame has the species as header and the habitats in
which they occure as elements.
The second data frame has the regions as header and the occuring
habitats as elements.
To fill a cell in the new matrix (e.g. spcs.x in region.y) I want R to
compare the habitat lists of spcs.x and region.y.
If any of the habitats occurs in both lists the value of the cell shall be 1.
The structure I used looks like this:

Huge fonts in font selector - no characters when printing
I'm experimenting with a Swedish accounting program (SPCS Administration 2000)
in Wine. The program seems to work fine except for printing. Only a few
formatting horizontal lines are printed, no characters at all. It's the same
result in the print preview, printing to a PDF or to a real printer (through
CUPS).
