How to copy Spammail for learning out of Postfix and Dovecot (vmail)
Hi!
I am using Postfix 2.3.8 and Dovecot 1.0.rc15.
Virtual Domains and Mailboxes are configured.
I tried to copy spammy Mail with Procmail, but Procmail only sees local
mails.
How to configure it to get a copy of spammy mails in a mbox or mail-dir?

problem with lda
Hello,
I am currently testing the upgrade from our dovecot v2.2.23 to 2.3.0. I have a strange problem with lda.
We use bounce mails for internal users if they try to send virus/spammails. The exact same config works with 2.2.23, but not with 2.3.0.
The relevant postfix/master.cf part:
dovecot unix - n n - - pipe
flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/opt/dovecot/libexec/dovecot/deliver -d ${recipient} -f ${sender}
On the same machine, with 2.2.23 I...

Access to shares is denied after upgrading from 3.6.3 (openSUSE 12.1) to 4.1.17 (openSUSE 13.2)
Hi,
please have a look into the attached smb.conf. The only changes since 3.6.3 are commenting out all *security* settings and adding
winbind expand groups = 1
The attached smbusers hasn't been changed yet.
When I try to access share \\platon\root<file:///\\platon\root> as fee\administrator I get the following:
platon:~ # smbclient -c dir -W fee -U administrator%secret

Dovecot 2.0+LMTP: Legal MAIL FROM rejected?
Hi,
I run Dovecot 2.0.13 fed by Postfix over LMTP. Today it rejected one
mail Postfix and Amavis accepted, generating a bounce. It was just a
spammail, but I think the sender address is legal according to RFC5321
and should be accepted. I don't like generating bounces, email should be
either rejected by postfix/pre-queue-amavis or delivered.

NETATALK support removed in SAMBA 2.0.3?!
...ention of it in the FAQs or Changes logs,
only that the support was ADDED sometime back in August]? Bad CVS check-in
or merge? What's the story?
If anyone knows what happened to this functionality and/or how to restore it,
please let me know. I'd greatly appreciate an e-mail
(mailto:spammail@mailgate.paypc.com) as this digested list makes it difficult
for me to find replies to messages.
Two other questions:
1) Are the Samba folks intending to add copyfile() [file to socket/socket to
file, and in some incarnations, file-to-file(?) at the kernel level]. I know
Linux 2.2 and the new...

Has anyone used this chain and was it good enough for your basic "I''ve got

tasks?

File copy speed differences... writing to SAMBA is faster than reading from it??!
Here's an interesting thing I notice between NTSP3 and Linux 2.0.33+ w/samba
1.9.18p8 [TCP_NODELAY, read prediction on, SND and RCV buffers to 64k, though
I've tried 16k, 32K, 64k, max size 2k, 4k, 8k, 16k, no difference]
When I copy a file from any share to my NT's HD, I get perhaps 280KB/sec.
When I copy from NT HD to Samba share, I get almost 1MB/sec. Doesn't matter
