Auto-expire messages in a folder
I have a Fedora 5 server running Dovecot (currently 1.0 rc10). The spam filter (amavis) automatically tags email (using plussed addressing) such that messages flagged as spam are sorted into a "spambox" folder by procmail. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but because of some legacy issues with filesystem quota also being in place, combined with most users connecting with POP3 rather than IMAP... spam doesn't stay in their inbox, they don't check their spambox and they are very q...

replication and spam removal ("doveadm expunge")
Hello everybody, since now I did no replication and spam is delivered into users folder "spambox" Every night there is a cronjob which deletes spam older than 30 days via something like "find .... -ctime +30 -delete" Now I'm going to set up replication (two way) and I thought that doing "rm" is not a good idea. So I modified the job to something like /usr/bin/dov...

Cyrus IMAP and ipurge
Anyone here familiar with Cyrus IMAP and its util ipurge? We'd like to set auto deletion of our users' spambox folders, but I'm a bit paranoid about its functionality. The main things that confuse me are from the man page: "Ipurge deletes messages from the mailbox(es) specified by mailbox-pattern" with no indication as to what defines "mailbox-pattern" Second: "Ipurge by...

Some subscribers posts to the list ending up in Gmail spam
...ng lists as well as in many other places. This whole issue hit the fan early in 2014 when yahoo and aol changed their DMARC policy to reject incoming mail that failed the DMARC test. Gmail, however, does not enforce the "reject" in others DMARC policy, but instead sends the email to the spambox (gmail also may send email to the spambox if it has no DKIM signature at all). I found that when I added (valid) DKIM signatures and a DMARC record for my domains, recipient freemail users messages started going to their inbox instead of their spambox. Nataraj

Bugzilla Registration fails
...yyy at zzzzz.fr (my mail address), use the URL given in the email you will receive. If you take no action in the next 3 days, this request will automatically be canceled. The problem, is that I never receive this mail. I look directly on the webmail, and I'm sure not to receive it, even in the spambox. When I try to ask for a new password, the system answers me that this account doesn't exist. When I mail to wineHQ.org, I receive a mail from wine-bugs-bounces[at]winehq.org where I can read this: Do not mail wine-bugs directly. Please post in Bugzilla at http://bugs.winehq.org/. How can...

[LLVMdev] Parametric polymorphism
I'm a newcomer to llvm, but what you've done so far is very impressive. Llvm is a godsend to anybody who is attempting to implement their own their own language. :-) My company is considering using llvm as the backend for a small matlab-like language for scientific computation; our other option is MSIL. After reading through the documentation, I noticed that llvm seems to have one major

purge maildir folder after sa-learn
Hello, I am looking for a command-line utility to automatically purge one Maildir folder. I want to periodically run sa-learn from cron, and after the spam learning folder has been added to the Bayes database, its contents should be deleted. I've searched a bit, but only found a few old utilities or some telnet+expect scripts, which both didn't look too reliable. Is there any

Parametric polymorphism is different from subtype polymorphism; you can have one without the other. Parametric polymorphism just means that you can use type variables (like T) in the IR, which are later instantiated to

[LLVMdev] Parametric polymorphism
Why do you say that people who compile, e.g., functional languages would benefit from type variables in LLVM? I like the level the LLVM is at, and would prefer to deal with instantiating parametric polymorphism at a higher level.
