Remote-logging nginx? (or other non-syslog-enabled stuff)
...s nginx or anything else which doesn't support syslog natively. I'm aware that there's an nginx patch, and we're evaluating this. It may be the way we fly. However there are other tools which may not have a patch for which remote logging would be useful. If there's a general soution (something as naive as tailing local logs and firing these off on a regular basis). I've heard rumors of a Perl script used for apache logs. Hello all, Here is my situation: I have an existing linux box with 100+ users. This box run various services. Users do not have shell access. I have added samba to this box so users can share files and access their files from Windows. Samba installation and configuration went smoothly. Now, the problem is, I need to create entries in smbpasswd for these 100+ users. How would I go about creating

Can (should) each :user have his own table?
I was reading this article a while back http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2008/06/06/did-rails-sink-twitter/ and it got me thinking. If I wanted to set up my app so that each user has his/her own table, how would I go about doing that? Rsync backup issues using relative paths and LVM snapshots
