R-beta: standard-errors-glm
I have a small problem. I am running glm() in R-0.61.0 on Redhat 4.2.
I want to get the standard errors from the output. If I do
out <- glm(....)
summary(out)
I get the coefficients printed as well as their correlation matrix. If I do
out$coefficients I get the coefficients
out$fitted gives me the fitted values
I can then assign the fitted values or the value of the estimated

Camera MJPEG to Icecast
...80820/using-vlc-to-transcode-an-axis-cameras-video-stream-and-stream-it-out-again/#vlc-transcode-solution
oh, dear!
Why don't you use directly the icecast output option of vlc?
It would most likely look like this:
vlc -vvv rtsp://CAMERA-IP-ADDRESS:554/mpeg4/media.amp --no-drop-late-frames --no-sout-audio --sout "#transcode{vcodec=theo,acodec=vorb,ab=1,channels=1}:duplicate{dst=std{access=shout,mux=ogg,dst=source:PASSWORDHERE at localhost:8000/stream.ogg}}
DISCLAIMER: I only tried this 'sout' line part briefly, YMMV.
If your CPU maxes out you might want to add some 'scale=0...

Multicast Paging
...group of Aastra phones using multicast paging. I can page phone to phone without issue, but sending from one of my servers to the phones results in garbled audio. Anyone else been able to make this work without problem? My VLC command line is below.
cvlc -v emergency-test2.wav --norm-max-level=5 --sout "#transcode{acodec=ulaw,ab=64,channels=1,samplerate=8000}:rtp{dst=239.0.1.20,port-audio=16000,proto=udp}"

open3 test
Just for kicks, I thought I''d give the following a shot:
require "win32/process"
require "open3"
sin,sout,serr = Open3.popen3("echo %PATH%")
p sout.gets
p serr.gets
Returns nil for both, but hey, at least it doesn''t crash. :)

R CMD check: small tests suggestion
It would be nice if R CMD check ran any file in the tests directory
that has "one of the extensions .R, .S, .q, .r, or .s" - i.e. it
should match the files processed in the R directory.

Mountpoint "disappearing" ?
.../modify_node_event update node clients (0)
DBUG stats/modify_node_event update node sources (0)
DBUG slave/_slave_thread checking master stream list
and this in access log :
"SOURCE /live.ogg HTTP/1.0" 200 19 "-" "VLC media player 1.1.4" 14
For information, my "sout" command-line in vlc :
'#transcode{vcodec=theo,vb=800,scale=1,acodec=vorb,ab=128,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:std{access=shout,mux=ogg,dst=source:hackme at 193.50.79.124:8000/live.ogg}'
How can I troubleshoot this issue ?
Thanks for your help.

Impossible to encode this file in sync
...ms :
http://dl.rom1v.com/noindex/test.mpg
The file works correctly using vlc or mplayer, but totem has sync
problems for playing it.
For information, it is a TV stream I recorded using :
vlc "rtsp://mafreebox.freebox.fr/fbxtv_pub/stream?namespace=1&service=201&flavour=sd" ":sout=#std{access=file,mux=ps,dst=$out}"
(don't try, you won't access this URL, it is accessible only using
"Free", one particular French provider)
If you have any idea?
Thank you for your help.

Slightly OT: Does anyone use latex2rtf with sweave output ?
...aphs.
My current plan is to use R to call a standard sweave document and pass
variables to tell what data to pull out of the db, then use latex2rtf to
turn the tex file into rtf. However I'm stuck with latex2rtf. It's
chocking on some of the latex that sweave wrote (such as {Schunk}
{Soutput} {Sinput}. Has anyone used latex2rtf succesfully with sweave
and is willing to share their experiences ?
Thanks
Paul.

Combining Sweave and fancyvrb
I find Sweave very useful and I was trying to combine it with the
latex package fancyvrb. I was trying to get line numbering and labels
in order to reference the lines where particular commands occur.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out how to do it. Maybe
somebody can help me.
The following is a sample Rnw file: the first part shows what I would
like to get, the second what I

Need a help on Online Video Streaming using IceCast
Hello,
We are working on the Radio station project and we are trying to implement
the Live Video Streaming module using Icecast server with VLC player.
We have installed and configured the Icecast into our server. Also, we have
installed the VLC player in our local desktop computer.
The USB webcam(200 CMOS UCAM - DLC220T) has been connected into my machine.
Now we are trying to live video
