No Domain Controller, Please help to interpret tcpdump
Greetings! I am still struggling with the issue that after vampiring from NT4 domain to Samba 3.0.7 with ldap backend, Windows XP cannot find the domain controller. In particular, WXP is an XP Prof which signed in AB_INITIO_DOM domain. After the migration I put the Samba Server (Priscilla) and WXP in an isolated network, and started up Priscilla as PDC for the network. But WXP

Basic - Setting up Rsync over the net
Heya, I''ve tried going thru the archives, but it''s like looking for a needle in a haystack. I''ve also tried the man page, but I don''t understand the syntax (not a native Unix user). I''m new to rsync, and have managed to get our systems on a backup sched with rsync in the office. That works great, and all is good. My last task is to get rsync to

force re-authentication when accessing different shares
hello & thx for your fast response! i need a way to create samba shares without creating system user accounts: - add users via smbpasswd with unique password - no need for a corresponding useraccount in /etc/passwd - access to the corresponding shares should be independent from any domain (i.e. the share should be accessable via windows client) to come around the useraccount-restriction (as

Issues with Canoo WebTest
I''m trying to use Canoo WebTest (based on HtmlUnit) to test my webapp after integrating scriptaculous. While my test passed, I get a nice long exception message which barely makes any sense (see below). I found I could get rid of this message by commenting out line 114 of effects.js: 114 this.timeout = setTimeout(this.loop.bind(this), 10); Any idea of what might be causing

Row name of empty string issue
...omputations on the DB s.t. the answers (rows) are indexed with respect to the rownames so a computation on a DB record might necessitate the indexing into the data.frame by the emtpy row name. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work. Explicitly: I have this statement (in a loop going through sourceNames which are rownames of the data.frames CurrentRecordBlankFieldsCountSums and BlankFieldsCount): BlankFieldsCount[sourceNamei,]= BlankFieldsCount[sourceNamei,] + CurrentRecordBlankFieldsCountSums[sourceNamei ,]; if sourceNamei is any name other than "" it works fine but otherwise Curren...
